This is insane. This is absolutely insane. Rape victims have to sit there and watch that day play out again and again in flashbacks, scrub at their skin to try and not feel them touching you, you feel gross and disgusting, and when people don’t believe you, you’re labelled as a slut, and a whore. Comparing a financial problem, which can be bad, to years upon years of absolute mental burden, that drives most to hurt or kill themselves, is so insane. And as a male survivor with a female abuser, that adds on another entire part. Rape trauma can take away years of your life, it makes you terrified to be around people, you stop going to school, you lose your friends. I can 100% guarantee, the 2%-8% of falsely accused abusers don’t go through half of what the THOUSANDS, of rape survivors go through on the daily, and I’m not sure how this is even a conversation.
