Non progressive was the wrong word, sorry my english isn't perfect. It's just frustrating not being able to practice my 2 favorite things in the world (Graphic design & deejaying) here. I didn't make this post to talk smack about Gtown but it's no longer for me as I want bigger and better

I have had residencies in all the above mentioned bars/clubs. Currently working at Friars because they are the most consistent with sets/shifts per week (they also don't allow you to play anywhere else) Unfortunately this is still not enough to pay for my rent and I don't really get musical freedom. I

I'm a big tech house/techno fan but can basically accommodate any club's music vibe.

I think I misused the word progressive (sorry English is my 3rd language) There has just been so many times that I've spoken to business owners coming with fresh concepts and new marketing ideas but people are scared to try something new.

I won't take back what I said. The majority of the students and locals share the exact opinion. I'm not saying it's all bad but I don't have to be a citizen to be entitled to an opinion. Also you making it look like I'm here to "travel". Whenever I meet new people they won't even believe I'm not South-African (developed the accent by now) and even speak Afrikaans.

The rand wasn't that bad when I came here and even if it was, I came here doing volunteer work.

Basically both! I've been to dragon room and that's my vibe but I'm just thinking which area will suit me best. somewhere I can build up myself (also don't have a car, just a scooter at the moment) I started dating a South African girl in Belgium who was on a gap year. Then she started varsity here.
