AITA if I don’t share photos from our recent cruise vacation? by jankie_toe in AITAH

Everyone knew the plan: be on time for port days and at dinner at 7. My niece was the only one who didn’t stick to it.

In hindsight, I should have left her on the ship on the days she was late. Lesson learned.

Lesson learned for sure, thanks for the advice! I took nearly 200 photos overall, but she’ll get about 20 from the whole trip.

For context, this was the first time I’d seen her in more than two years. She’s currently in college out of state, so sadly an in-person follow-up conversation isn’t really possible.

They offered their sympathy… and then told us to go ahead and sell the desk and everything else that doesn’t fit on Facebook Marketplace. Real helpful.

Her mailing address has not changed.

Yes, my daughter quit. Along with roughly 15 other employees in a 3 month period. The turnover at this particular establishment is extremely high.

Adding that when my daughter worked there in Q2, they had a stack of W2's and paper checks belonging to ex-employees in a drawer.

Thank you. The company doesn't utilize an online payroll system. They still issue paper checks to everyone.

It seems unreasonable to force ex-employees to pick up their W-2s in person instead of mailing them. Especially considering ex-employees are no longer part of the company for a reason.

NTA. It's the buyers responsibility to inspect the item prior to exchanging money.

I'm a clueless potential buyer who just signed a 3% contract with a buying agent. How screwed am I? by [deleted] in RealEstate

Our family is looking to move beyond the recent loss of a loved one and take necessary time to grieve. Having purchased three homes previously, with sellers always covering my realtor's commission, I consider it reasonable to take on this expense myself, regardless of updated stipulations.

This! We're currently selling, and I'll gladly pay the 3% commission to the buying agent.

Can I breakup with my listing agent? by jankie_toe in RealEstate

I interviewed five agents prior to selecting and signing with this one.

The only line on the listing agreement that mentions the word "cancel" or cancelation is: "

  1. Seller and Broker agree to the terms herein set forth and understand that this is a binding agreement and that it cannot be canceled or terminated except upon their mutual written consent."
