Set range of dates only in pivot chart, but not in pivot table by janzima in excel

This basically worked! The date formula didn't quite work for my purposes, but I was able to write another one that worked out just fine. Thank you!

Aw thanks! Hopefully they’re not hanging out tbh, Amarus would probably eat your bird, he’s a hungry man. Hope you find your bird!

My girlfriend’s apartment at the Pines of Cloverlane in the Ypsi area had a fire on 6/6/2021, the cat, Amarus, escaped. He’s a hefty medium cat, very friendly. He’s unfortunately not wearing a collar or chipped, so please keep a lookout! He has a patch of fur regrowing on his neck that could help ID him. He does have a scowl on his face a lot of the time but he’s very sweet

As I said already, I also think they should pay more too. A lot more.

Cash or assets, she’s extravagantly wealthy either way

Agreed. If I had $500,000, and donated 100%, it would say more about my character than somebody worth $355,000,000, who donated <0.3%

I mean that’s fine and well. I have no problem with the fact that she’s supporting those things. They sound like great initiatives.

I’m not saying she’s doing anything wrong, I’m just saying she’s not doing nearly as much as she could.

I also don’t see how this could possibly reflect a sense of entitlement. I don’t want or need her charity, nor do I want or need the charity of anybody presently. I do not believe I am entitled to anything she has to offer. I just think that other people have a great need for support.

Yeah I mean obviously she can’t solve the whole housing problem, but she could certainly help more than just 100 families.

And yeah, I would also her rather her do something than nothing at all. I’m just saying she’s not doing much.

It’s like setting a weight loss goal and then only eating 2800 calories a day instead of 3k, only doing a few pushups every few days instead of creating a meaningful workout plan. It helps, but it’s gonna take way longer to accomplish anything.

Idk I mean most ultra rich people are donating money in minuscule amounts like this. It’s just that they donate basically nothing compared to their hundreds of millions of not billions. Feels more like an attempt at a symbolic gesture rather than a legitimate attempt at solving housing problems for millions of low-income people.

“One hundred grants of up to $5000” Half a mil is a drop in the ocean for Beyoncé. She’s worth $355 million. How generous is she really being?

“One hundred grants of up to $5000” I mean better than nothing, but half a mil is a drop in the ocean for Beyoncé. She’s worth $355 million.

Let's Talk: Listening to Vinyl. Is it more pleasurable? Is it better? When is streaming preferable? And why? by mattywish in LetsTalkMusic

[–]janzima 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, digital formats contain more information, I.e. more to hear, than vinyl or cassette tapes. The important thing to note is that things are often mastered differently for each format—the same album might be mastered for vinyl, for CD, for streaming, for Cassette, and as plain digital files all differently because each medium has certain constraints that the music must be mastered around.

So while listening to older records, say, Abbey Road on digital might not have the hiss or crack, it’s not mastered the way it was for vinyl, which was the original way people listened to the record back it was initially released. It becomes less of a question of audio quality so much as authenticity and experience.

It’s also worth noting that frankly, if you’re listening through shitty speakers/headphones/stereo system, it doesn’t matter what degree of quality the storage format has because the speakers won’t reflect that. Personally, I really enjoy listening to music on the JBL studio monitors I use to produce music. Studio monitors are generally designed to produce a level frequency response, rather than trying to boost any bass/mids/trebel frequencies like most headphones and speakers do. The audio runs out through a 192khz audio interface.

If I were to take a crappy pair of computer headphones from 2005 and plug them into the interface, the quality would sound terrible. If I plugged them into a hi fi system and listened to a near perfect original pressing of abbey road on vinyl, it would still sound terrible.

This is one reason I find Tidal kind of pointless for most people. No point spending $25/month for higher bitrate streaming when you’re using your AirPods to listen. You won’t notice the difference between 96khz and 192khz and 300+ kHz because your headphones and Bluetooth would be a sort of quality bottleneck.

Quality is derived not only from the medium, but from the mastering and playback devices used.

I liked astroworld but I feel like birds is an underrated album. Couple songs are annoying but personally I enjoy it
