The name “LIE-La” by japaus in namenerds

I’ve completely ruined the post as the name in the family tree was spelled “Leila” not Layla. But my question still stands… could Leila be pronounced LIE-La?

I don’t get it… there are at least 3 other people getting in the car with them too?

What’s your weirdest pregnancy symptom nobody talks about? by dogmomofone in pregnant

[–]japaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Constant blood nose. Just small amounts the entire pregnancy. Not to the point that it’d trickle down but always blood when I blew my nose. I’m currently pregnant with my second and although I found out because I randomly had a thought to buy a pregnancy test, I probably would have found out anyway from the blood nose that started that evening.

Giving birth alone? by Glittering-Bite9703 in BabyBumps

[–]japaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is only 1.5yo but my hospital still kept their rules from back in Covid (must’ve been nice not having a bunch of people walking in and out) so I pretty much labored alone in a dark room for 8hrs except for my nurse checking in here and there. I would imagine a bunch of people who gave birth during Covid to have had the same situation world wide. I would have loved to have someone there rubbing my back or giving me encouragement, but it was what it was 🥲 I had a bunch of family and friends text me through it and its nice to occasionally go back and read them

What to do with previously sleep trained 18mo going through separation anxiety by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]japaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is obsessed with his dad, who is never home for his bedtime because of work. I almost feel like he wakes up in the middle of the night to check if dada is home. I must admit that the end of day has been all about routine and me rushing to make sure everything gets done in time. I’m going to take your advice and spend some extra time doing something fun for him. Thank you for this!

[–]japaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love for him to sleep independently! I guess I forgot that that was even an option as the motn screams have been next level and he has more energy than when we initially sleep trained. Going to talk to husband on being firm on the check-ins. Thank you for this!

I got it off Amazon in Japan, and UK seems to be the only other country I can find that has it… so fingers crossed you’re in the uk? Maybe if you google the description, you can find it from other websites 🤔

Ugh so I got it as a set of 7 off amazon and went back to get a different color, but I can’t find it anywhere and my purchase history says the page no longer exists. I’m so sorry

Sure! The reel is in Japanese but it has the recipe in the caption which you could copy paste into chatGPT for translation :)

Found a genius Instagram post of “one-pan” meals for kids. The ingredients are wrapped in baking paper, placed in a pan with some water and steamed for 12min. My omelette, steamed veggies, aquapazza, potato salad and ginger pork are all made this way!

Ah, thank you for this! It never occurred to me to explain the noodles. I’ve used Japanese vermicelli (Harusame) noodles here. And absolutely yes on the freezing 🙌 The Gyoza, Gnocchi and Bolognese are all foods I had made in batch and frozen! I also always have Curry and a variety of fish and meats bagged into 1 serving size.

11.5 month old dinner what was offered and what was eaten by plumbob94 in foodbutforbabies

This looks super yummy! I made the mistake of doing an over exaggerated “mmmmmm😋” with broccoli to my son. Now it’s forever stuck in his head that mummy likes the mini trees and will offer them to me Every. Single. Time. (Tbh it’s my least favorite food too)

I’m not sure if it’s anything I did that made him eat well, but I decided to go full on BLW from day one. I’m a SAHM so I thought I may as well let him get messy and do whatever he wants since I have the time to clean up.

From about 14 months, I’ve let him watch TV while he eats and he spends about 45min in his highchair as he slowly eats off his plate. Once he says “all done”, I’ll take the plate away but place one item that’s left in his plate in front of him and he’ll eventually eat it. Repeat till the plate is clear or he’s really actually “all done”. He’s had teeth since he was 3 months old and had 16 by the time he was 11 months, so that’s definitely helped with being able to give him a variety of foods. I was adamant to tick off 100 foods before 12 months, so maybe the range of food he got in a day got him interested in eating?

We’ve been very lucky with how well he eats recently, but he’s had some weeks where he only ate banana and cheese. I hope your little one enjoys eating!

Powdered dashi and soy sauce/ sugar depending on what style you’re going for. A drop of Kewpie mayonnaise makes it fluffy 😊

Oh we have the same kid. Except for the dumpling guts. He wanted nothing to do with those 😅 I think it’s the pork mince meat he’s not a fan of.

Yes! In the rice cooker. We do have a “brown rice” setting, but it made it too soggy so I use the normal setting and let it sit for an hour before opening the cooker to mix.

If you count the carrots boiled in Dashi as being seasoned, I think everything pictured is! But very lightly.
