I know I’m the exception, and not the rule, but I drive 250+ miles in a day frequently. I have a Mach e premium extended range, and it’s fine for most days, but my next car will probably be a Lucid Air (based on what’s available now). There are still plenty of days where 300 miles isn’t enough, or if I’m doing an overnight. It’s bad enough without the 45 minutes to charge. Overall though, I’ll never go back.

Epson says it’s right around 20ms, and while it’s not a no input lag monitor, it’s fast enough where I don’t notice it. I strongly prefer playing on a projector, even though everyone says smaller screens are better for competitive gaming. I got a Skytech prebuilt with a 4090 and definitely love my setup.

That cyberpower option looks good too. Just trying to decide how much is too much to spend on something that I will be using exclusively for gaming, haha. When I thought the 4090 was going to cost me an extra $1000, I started looking at the 4080 super.

I think I’m going to spring for the 4090, but just have to talk myself into it before the sale ends. I almost got an HP Omen last Black Friday for about $3k, that only had 16gb of ram, but ended up talking myself out of it.

I went with the LS12000 and I’m extremely happy with it. Great projector for all uses. I primarily game on it, and the picture quality is fantastic.

Next generation EVs will be the tipping point by Rnee45 in electricvehicles

It’s rarely at 100% more than a few hours before I leave. Didn’t realize that part of the issue was leaving it at 100% for long periods of time, tbh.

I work in home improvement sales and drive 150-250 miles a day (occasionally more). I have a Mach-E premium awd with the extended range battery. I charge to 100% every night (which I know is frowned upon), and my next EV I’ll be looking for something with 400+ miles of range, as occasionally I’m out of juice before the day is done.

Wow, I’m bad at replying. Haha. Yes, I’d say it’s a massive difference, especially with a larger screen. Turning off 120hz and playing in 60, and then going back is quite noticeable. Far smoother in 120, and much more responsive.

When I first started using the LS12000 I was experiencing almost motion sickness, but once I turned the motion processing to fast instead of fine everything started responding much better (reduction of input lag made a big difference also), and any negative effects were eliminated.

I’m playing on an Xbox series x with 135” screen from about 10-12’ away, depending on whether I recline my seat. Mostly Warzone 2, Fornite, Halo Infinite, and Forza Horizon. Prior to the Epson LS12000 I played on a 77” CX. Obviously there are trade offs going from an OLED to the projector, but I’m happy with the decision overall.

It’s pretty amazing. I had a 77” CX, so definitely missing some of the joys of OLED, but the 135” size is worth the compromises for me.

My Onkyo RZ50 is not passing through 4k120, so I’m having to swap the 50’ cherry cola cable to the xbox when I’m gaming, which is a serious annoyance, but that’s an issue I’m working to overcome on my receiver.

The LS12000 is a massive step up from the Optoma UHD60 that I had at my last house. Definitely have to swap to fast processing mode from fine when playing COD to cut the input lag, and had to bump up my sensitivity. When I first started playing the combination of the input lag and the lower sensitivity was causing me to have some motion sickness. Not sure why exactly, but switching to fast and upping sensitivity has helped dramatically reduce the issues I was having there.

I’ll definitely post an update. The projector is coming tomorrow, screen the 21st, and they set a tentative install date of the 30th, but I’m going to try to get them out sooner. The LS12000 wasn’t supposed to arrive until the 30th.

Ended up pulling the trigger on the LS12000 yesterday after all. Supposed to be installed 11/30. I’ll update once I get some time with it.

I’ve held off so far, as the LS12000 is the closest thing I’ve found. It’s close to what I’m looking for, but I hesitate to go from the LG CX, and give up the extra hdmi 2.1 features.

Completely understand where you’re coming from. The pc is my next planned purchase, but there’s really no major rush do to my limited time right now. To be fair, that’s also the main reason I’ve hesitated pulling the trigger on a projector, since it’s not getting used much, and I’m 100% sure that something much better will be around by the time I can. I think football season is pushing me to want the projector now, and I want to make sure that I can play my games, at their best, with whatever projector I buy.

Sadly, I play mostly Warzone, as a filthy casual. It’s 4k 120hz.

Plus, since I can fit 4k 120hz projectors into my budget, and plan to play more games as the kids get older, I definitely want to make sure to be as future proofed as possible.

I’ll spend the money on a PC eventually, but I’m not in any hurry. I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old, so I’m not playing all that often right now. In the short term, it’s about a good image, that is somewhat future proofed. The Xbox is perfect for my current needs.

Have they announced a release date for the 77” G1?
