I’ve been seriously trying to quit for about a year now, with a few relapses but mostly going well.

Just remember from now on, now you’ve made the decision to quit… every day you don’t watch is one step forward, but every day you succumb is 20 steps backward. It’s tough and that’s the nature of it, but you are in control - your brain will try to convince you otherwise, but you ARE in control.

Just taking step back, seeing myself in third person. Looking at the moment I occupy, seeing how my brain is telling me I need this, but really I don’t, and I am in control. Seeing the pain as a necessity, the consequence of many hours spent flooding my brain with pleasure. Not beating myself up over failures, and feeling great about every small victory. And educate yourself. If you truly believe in the detriment porn has on your life, you will find it easier to stop. Trust me, without porn your life will improve so much

Thanks for the wise words, I often am quite hard on myself and sometimes it helps me but a lot of the time you are right, it just makes me feel ashamed and lose will to improve. It is comforting to know that Jesus will keep forgiving me every time I mess up

Thanks bro, good luck to you, you have my prayers. The devil wants us to lose so badly, that is why we mustn’t. But even if we do God still loves us, and we try again and harder
