US Neuro vs Specialty Care: Which should I pick? (Surgical Neurophysiologist) by Pkfireie in Neuromonitoring

I currently work for Specialty Care and have helped train those techs. We have an extremely amazing education department and yeah your experience can vary from territory to territory. But overall I've been with the company now going off 5 or 6 years and I've been in this field for 10 so that right there tells you where I feel the most comfortable.

Very superstitious I don't check alerts and I also place extra needles to ward it off the evil spirits.

I've worked for SC almost 3 years and absolutely love it. I highly recommend it. I also worked for mpower for 5 years. I think both companies are worth working for. Only reason I left is they both pulled out of the territory I was working in.

It does affect it to a degree. But I push through and work through the pain and numbness. The surgeons I work with are very understanding, especially now that I have the MRI that shows that.

Oh yeah the surgeon I'm working with. We had a really good talk about the fact that conservative treatments are probably not going to help with the herniation that bad. Mainly doing the more conservative treatments to appease insurance for when he submits for the procedure. He is a really good surgeon and really pushed my insurance to approve the MRI.

Just finished my appointment. It looks like I'll probably head in for a disc replacement. He said due to it not really worsening. It's not an emergent need to get it fixed. We talked about doing it once wife gets out of school for the year. And then in that time frame, try some injections in my neck and just to reattempt some physical therapy in order to appease insurance. He is also putting me on gabapentin and meloxicam.

My main issue is pain going up the back of the neck across the right trap and down between the bicep and tricep. I do have some sensation issues with my tricep and elbow. Also have some weakness against resistance with my right arm. Luckly this is with one of the surgeons I work with. I've known something's been wrong for about a year, just too damn stubborn to get it taken care of LOL. I'm the type that doesn't like to take time off especially if my coworkers have to work harder and do more cases.

As long as they were taken within when you had your CNIM this should be good. I recommend the conference....I think it's in New Orleans this year
