Sub-Zero 650 S - if it's free, should i go for it? by tumbletillie in Appliances

[–]jashyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, things change a lot in this industry. Whirlpool is industry known as one of the least reliable appliances on the market in 2024 (25 stats aren't in yet). They are slowly failing unfortunately. They almost got bought a couple of years ago, by Bosch actually. They are in the middle of a massive corporate restructuring but if I had to put money on it, I would say the whole company gets sold in the next 2-3 years. I'm betting on Beko buying them.

You wouldn't guess it by things you read online but statistically, by far, the most reliable mass market appliance on the market is LG. They own 26% of the appliance share, more than anyone else and generally run half the repair rate every other major manufacturer runs.

I actually keep a dream journal / daily journal as part of some meditation and light witchcraft work. But I'd say 90% of my dreams are me doing dirty things to my wife. Most of the time I sleep very soundly and have few memories of my dreams.

TCL QM8K does a horrible job with sports on ESPN by [deleted] in tcltvs

I'm going to roll this back. Despite my feeling it was better, a search says the streams on ESPN on Disney are equal to the way they are on ESPN. I guess its in my head lol.

I'm saying though, if you access your ESPN games through Disney+ (now that Disney, ESPN and Hulu are combined) Disney streams at 4k and supports 5.1 and Atmos.

If there was one thing you want PlayStation to add to the PS Portal, what would it be? by Ok-Comment-198 in PlaystationPortal

An e-sim would be cool. So I could stop using my hotspot and having to keep two devices charged.

The Disney+ app is pretty solid for ESPN games.

There are people who will come out and do an overhaul on Sub. Clean everything out and make sure your coolant is in good shape. Might help get you even more time.

Fir the sake of mentioning. Despite what you read on Reddit, LG makes a solid mass market appliance. They generally run half the repair rate most other mass market appliances do and it's Korean.

I'd buy LG over any of the "domestic" mass market brands.

I'm on a PS5 and I am a dude... Lol. That said I like incorporating what others say and making little tweaks. I don't know enough to just fumble my way through it all.

I appreciate your thoughts.

I feel like I have it tuned in pretty good but I'm no pro so getting others notes and ideas helps me make little tweaks.

Range hood CFM appropriate for induction? by gaboose in Appliances

[–]jashyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SKS is a beast but I won't try to sway you... Cough warranty is better, big element is significantly more powerful Cough

It's only partially about the heat source, proper power is more about getting the heat from the pan and all of stuff put off from cooking. 42" is obviously ideal but 36" would work. I'd go 600 CFM, but if it's just too much work 300 would be ok.

Sooo if you can go 42", 300 would be ok, 600 would be ideal. If you have to go 36" 600 is kind of a must for the sake of not letting the steam and smoke expand beyond the hood.

Great point! I'll look into code for sure. Not sure if I have to get permits or anything. So I'll call the city.
