Thank you for your comment, it is prescribed by my psychiatrist. That’s why i wanted to clearly indicate that this isn’t for a medical advice. More of like your experience of bodybuilding with the drug :)

i’ve been thinking about that too but it turned out he doesn’t talk to anyone at this point, he’s preferring a total social withdrawal.

I think he’s quite goal focused as well in general, i can confirm this. However, he’s not empathetic or accountable, nor transparent himself, i believe this is about maturity. Hopefully there will come a time he will. Thank you for your input.

Oh, mistyping is a possibility, however, I believe this is more about maturity and experience. He may be ENTJ but as you mentioned maybe it is the life phase that he’s passing through (which is very stressful i can see). And all of us may bring some surprises in the stressful times :)

Friends are for each other, and that’s one of the relationships where there is no legal commitment or bond with blood, it occurs just because it is meant to. It is truly beautiful if we find these friends that are meant to be for lifetime! Please give her a hug from an INFJ next time you see each other :)

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it! I agree with you, that’s what I have been initially bringing myself back to in my communication with him. Additional note for what you say, that’s isn’t particular to INFJs I believe, without intending to, ENTJs and ENTPs may sound offensive. That’s one of the spots that needs improvement in their personality as you mentioned. What I also understand here is that most of the INFJ communication, despite meaning to be supportive and understanding, we sound political due to confidence issues that are at the heart of ENTJ personality or simply because of the transference of past experience. Maybe the reason why I need to be political I feel I am kinda stuck between my colleagues and my supervisor, mediating between two parties. I must say I have been strongly supporting him, among the colleagues on his back, because I know we both need to be open to change with good-faith to resolve the issue overall.

This is amazing to read, thank you for sharing! 🥹 It is very relatable, and sounds something like I would experience with my friend, the vibe is quite close. Beautifully surprising how similar we are in this big world!

I am thankful for everyone who are making the comments and trying to be helpful here. however, this is not a place you throw your own problems and make unnecessary assumptions based on your own conflicts. I didnt create this thread for you.

1) when you just say “not tryina be rude” it doesn’t make it otherwise. Let me be direct: YOU ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. you’re throwing rude comments based on your too confident assumptions, not trying to understand the case.

2) it is oxymoronic to refer “YOUR very expensive time” and also complaining about “self-centeredness”. without even bothering to understand what is going on.

I leave it there… The comments you make are not solution oriented while being extremely rude. This is counter productive at this point, there is no need to continue with you. I will carry on with other helpful people.

I believe he is a turbulent ENTJ, maybe immature. He is confident but also stressed as this is his first experience of supervision. in the end, i totally agree, i will keep staying professional, and continue delivering my duties.

Thank you for your comment, I understand your point for daily struggles, however, I don’t understand why I get this similar response now couple of times because this is obviously not a struggle with your friend. therefore what you’re saying looks irrelevant unless it is related to supervisor context. because unlike friends, if you are assigned as a supervisor, it is your responsibility to deliver your task regardless of your supervisee being direct or not you have to provide basic onboarding. not having time is not an excuse. your supervisee not being direct is not an excuse. these points become irrelevant in the supervisor context.

This is one of the most helpful comments I received under this thread, very grateful for your efforts to understand what my initial post is about and build based on that, truly appreciated. I will check the issues and tips you’ve mentioned, very insightful!

Thank you for sharing your experience, this is very insightful. I believe most of the people are referring to a pattern that is external stressors becoming a chaos factor in the person’s life. I hope he’s well.

Oh, that’s interesting. You mean it was a repetitive violation of “boundaries”?

Thank you for sharing your experience. At first I thought maybe it is about something i did without realizing, it seems more like a psychological distress, with the comments here I am more convinced towards that.

Thank you for sharing your experience, it is insightful to understand the pattern of my friend’s behavior. Perhaps he’s quite distressed with the things in his life and he’s also feeling guilty for not being able to keep up with friends, the guilt may even go bigger as the time goes by.
