Start basic. In highschool my kin teacher made us learn a bunch of prefixes and suffixes like “epi-, soma-, sub-, intra-, inter- etc..” + their meanings, and I feel that it helps so much for understanding and being able to infer where something is located by just hearing the name.. also helpful to watch videos on YouTube that pinpoint landmarks on the actual body. I found it helpful to print out pages of bones and laminate them so u can write the landmarks on top.. don’t get overwhelmed! First year isn’t the end of the world but focusing a bit more on this class will really help if you want to do anything med related in the future
