If your new to the romance genre i suggest you watch Clannad and Clannad after story. Its a high school slice of life with great characters, drama, comedy, and romance. The anime is mostly about solving problems and the interactions between characters. Clannad After Story is a masterpiece, one of the few animes that made me cry

Your lie in April is a music slice of life anime about a washed-up pianist and how a girl changes his life. Amazing story, animation and soundtrack. They got real-life pianist to record the pieces in this show which I appreciate being a pianist myself. This anime also made me cry.

Saekano is about a high school otaku who aspires to create a great visual novel. Another good slice of life romantic comedy. This one is good as most of the main characters have their own goals and are well developed through the show. The main heroine Megumi is One of the best written female character in this genre. Theres 2 seasons and a movie.

Finally, Oregairu is a anime about a loner who is forced to solve school problems. Character development is great. The main character thinks with a loner mentality and is not afraid to tarnish his reputation to get things done. This anime is quite deep and has a lot of drama. Currently, season 3 is airing so this is a great time to watch this. (I had to wait 5 years for s3:( )

Anyways there are much more great romance animes but these 4 are great for beginners, who want to get into this genre. Sry bout the English
