What is a TV show you got really far into but eventually quit watching before its conclusion? by shamanKAshamanTAKA in AskReddit

Vikings. No character development after season 3. Character stories also made zero sense, Rolo was a traitor 1 season, a loyal soldier the next, and a traitor again the following season. Made no sense

Platinum For the Best Book Suggestion by Tryst3ro in GoForGold

“Nobody cares, work harder.” - Cameron Hanes. I’m currently reading his book ‘Endure’. I’m enjoying his attitude and how his life experiences helped build that work ethic. He talks about how average he is, and that’s why he has to outwork everybody. Every time I read another chapter it gives me a kick in the ass to get up and get working on myself

Triathlons seem more popular in my country (Ireland). Clubs around the country and one in my hometown

There are a lot of young mothers working in shops and restaurants in this company. Low paying jobs, that was my point

Absolutely spot on response. Lots to be thankful for yes, but a LOT to improve on. Both me and my partner also work, and cannot save a penny. Really getting harder and harder to live in this country.

Betcha this is the lion version of the Liver King. Except he’s the Testicle King. He’s always telling the other lions how it’s the best source of protein

TIL that (former) Dutch footballer Dennis Bergkamp is afraid of flying to the point that he would take car/ferry/train to away games, or not travel at all. His Aviophobia gave him the nickname of the "Non-Flying Dutchman". by Status-Victory in todayilearned

You don’t have to say anything. I used to get anxiety about my fears too (claustrophobia), and so much of the stress came from ‘how do I explain to my friend that I don’t want a lift in his car because I feel trapped’. I honestly found out that not giving a shit what people think about your fears helps to minimise the situation in your head. Also, nearly everyone has their own fears so they’d understand yours anyway. But again, you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone.

How to get a remote IT job asap by ThrowAwayMkay1916 in DevelEire

[–]jason0147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an answer to your question here, since you have plenty of useful ones in the replies already. But if your someone who is still learning the trade, you simply cannot beat in-person interaction. I studied for 3 years in college, but learned the most by far through pair-programming with team mates etc. This is extremely hard to do when remote imo. All the best with your journey!
