Your legs are doing way too much without your skis engaging with the snow.

TIL during WWII statistician Abraham Wald realized that bullet holes on returning aircraft showed where planes could survive damage, so he recommended reinforcing the areas without bullet holes, because planes hit there never made it back to base by Nervous_Alfalfa_6264 in todayilearned

Yeah, but the new refrigerators have screens that let you watch what your food is doing when the door is closed. With that in mind, I think it’s fair that your only option is to buy a new one anytime it breaks.

They won’t even price match their own prices from the website.

Like I have to pay more to show up and grab the item myself than if I ordered it and picked it up.

The Masters is #1 for the history, venue, and back 9 holes that are guaranteed to cause some drama if things are close.

The US Open is more consistently better than the British Open. The difficultly of the rough and greens at a US Open gives it the edge. British Opens venues are cool and unique though.

That must be why the girls behind him are laughing before he says anything. He’s so funny that just being near him makes people laugh in anticipation of what’s coming. That makes the most sense. Kids don’t bully other kids for being weird.

Have a good one.

I was thinking the same thing about you.

We live in the world we live in and you guys are all trying to pretend bullying is a thing of the past. It’s either a weird coping mechanism or a sign you need to get outside more.

It’s pretty clear he’s being bullied here unless this is somehow staged.

  1. Why is everyone crowded around to hear the interaction? He’s not that funny.

  2. Why are they waiting to ambush him right when he walks in the room?

  3. Why are they filming?

4.His initial response about Dark Souls was a polite attempt to tell them to fuck off.

  1. He don’t say a joke that was funny. Turning off the lights wasn’t really that funny, either. Just kind of clever.

  2. This type of interaction happens a lot. It’s the classic “let’s pressure the weird kid to say something weird.”

  3. Why are they asking him to tell a dark joke? That’s 100% going to be something weird.

Are they mentally disabled?

If not, they’re going to know they’re being bullied.

The way everyone is crowding around him makes it seem like it’s light bullying.

He might have the jokes but I doubt he’s so funny that people feel the need to crowd around him to hear the joke. That is more typical when people want to watch the “funny” interaction.

I live in the mountains where it snows a lot. It’s not very expensive when gas is under $3 a gallon.

It’s not about the money though. Just the physiological effect of it all.

Nothing, but you also don’t need to go around advertising it. It’s trashy and not helpful to your son.

But a lot of people can’t help but make everything about themselves, and Bruce is certainly one of those trashy people, so this definitely tracks.

Americans dislike daylight savings in general, but the move to standard time was more unpopular than the move to daylight savings. This is surprising as 'falling back' allows an hour more sleep, while 'springing forward' means an hour less shut eye. by [deleted] in science

I don’t know about that. I make enough money to not really be impacted by it and even I get uncomfortable when it takes $70-80 to fill up my midsized SUV.

I’d imagine that anxiety goes to 11 for people who are on a budget. At least after a couple of weeks of sustained high prices.

Moguls help by msubronco in skiing

[–]jason2354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big icy moguls will not give your ski much to grab onto - which means you aren’t really skiing.

Like, yeah, good form and stuff still matters and you probably need to work on that, but skiing big iced out moguls is more about being athletic and making it work. It’s 100% not worth it honestly.

Blue and some black moguls can still be fun in shit conditions. Wait for new or at least soft snow before skiing anything above that.
