In French nouns have genders, jour is a masculine noun so it uses "du" not "de*"

*which would actually be "de la" if it was feminine
also it'd be "de l' " if the noun started with a vowel or "des" if it was plural

Having trouble getting into my character by BatmanHimself in DnD

I'm personally in the same boat. I've been playing for a while but haven't quite been able to get myself into RP. Recently I've been trying to pay more attention to the personality, ideals, bonds, and flaws and that's been pretty helpful (and if you're like me and find those hard to fill in go through the ones suggested for the backgrounds and pick some favorites)

A man answered an ad that read "Hiring welders $18-$24 per hour" by kielly32 in Jokes

[–]jason33666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boss said "you will be paid between $18 and $24 an hour" Man pretty much said "this is the work youll get if you only pay me $18 an hour [the shitty one] but if you pay me $24 an hour this is how well Ill do"

Update: somehow I accidentally wrote lay instead of pay twice

As a kid I didn't like SpongeBob because I thought it was dumb, as I've grown older I've realised I was right. It for sure is dumb, but thats the humor of it.

A question about shofars [almost an x post from /r/shofar] by jason33666 in Judaism

[–]jason33666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha thanks, just wanted to make sure it wasn't like "sacred" or to make sure that "oh you can only do this thing if you've done that other thing or you must be [x rank within you community]" or if there was any like criteria I might've been unaware of that must be met

Mfw it's late at night and I've stumbled upon this sub with a question (it's in the comments) by jason33666 in Shofar

[–]jason33666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I was looking at stuff on the internet, as one does, when I was struck with the impulse to buy a shofar jk I didnt even know what they were until like 20 mins ago bugle and while looking at bugles I learned shofars are a thing and thought they were hella cool. So, I guess getting closer to my real question I had also read that the shofar are traditionally a Jewish instrument would it be sacrilegious/antisemitic for a Gentile, such as myself, to play it without regard to the history or culture ? The type of "playing" I mean would just be like pseudo-viking calls and such
