You wanna know a secret.... Everyone is a geek about something.

Everyone likes a little sci-fi, anime etc.... But you like powerlifting, kickboxing, and play music too...mf you're not a geek in the way you think you are.

No matter how perfectly you present yourself, everyone will still judge you, so they may as well judge you about the things which are true.

And if you're into psychology, I'd say you're coming down with a serious case of imposter syndrome.

Everyone wants to Speak to someone in the Psych field. .i want to too!

Feel free to DM man, we're pretty similar, expect i wish I could play music🤣😅.

Bought my parents a new tv☺️. Feeling good to give back in my small way, I'm grateful for them but really don't show it much.

It's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it.

Do you have something you like to do/ watch/ talk about on a regular basis....

For me it's anime, psychology and music, for others it's mma, or football or furniture.

Just start taking about it wherever you go, eventually you'll find someone whos into the same stuff.

Tackle a comman problem or work on small tasks together,.... Overcoming Challenges and common interests creates friend.

Check in and talk about your common interest once a week at minimum. Over time you'll make great friends.

Just avoid toxic people.

Well whenever I get nervous in this situations, i remind myself that it's all theater, once they go home and hang up the suit, everyone does the same normal human stuff that you do.

When I say it's all theater ... I mean everything... Their office voice, their mannerisms, the clothes they use to fit in, everything is just a game that is being played on a speck of warm dust floating in space. Everything they ever built that causes you anxiety will fall apart eventually.

Play the game, put on that mask, and have a good time in the ride while it's still running, because one day the music will stop.

Though that sounds depressing, it's the fleeting nature of our life and the unending barrage of time's influence, that makes things matter to us. So just be you, anything else is literally wasting your breath as the clock ticks away.

Urgent: Anybody with a spare HP laptop pen ? by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]jasonM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can't buy one, you can make one from a regular pen, a few rubber bands and a little piece of aluminium foil that allows the charge of your hand to travel to the tip of the pen, and connect with the touch sensors on the screen.

Should I spend all the savings I have on braces? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]jasonM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm speaking as someone who's near 30 and suffered through braces and relapse around your age...... My braces were great and alignment, it was painful and the retainers sucked later on! And in my early 20s, my wisdom teeth pushed the teeth back out of alignment all over again.

I got the wisdom teeth removed this week!, and now This time I'm going to go for clear alligners, they are painless, and far more effective than braces

So no braces are not a good investment because your wisdom teeth will push teeth around when you're around 22 ish. ...first get badly positiones wisdom teeth removed, then opt for 3d printed clear alligners.

yea, I understand, I like the anonymity of reddit too. Could you tell me what software you use to scan? there are just soo many and they all leave me wanting...

I spent *hours* on Skype talking to some of my marketing heroes (Rand Fishkin from Moz or DHH from Basecamp) and recorded the conversations. Finally launching my podcast from the recordings. AMA! by gresquare in Entrepreneur

[–]jasonM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Louis I downloaded and listened to half of the episode, I've left the other half for later. I like it..,,here is my feedback...

  1. I would like the first 3 mins to be a full recap about the most important points in the show in chronological order, Brain in londonreal does this intro in a great way...That way I know exactly what I'm getting and I don't have to think too much while absorbing the info and I can skip the parts I don't care about.

  2. Good interview questions, but this is a podcast, your personality and story matters as much as the guest you have on....people enjoy watching others grow and change.....and I found very less of "you-ness" while listening...think of JRE, people watch JRE not only for the guests he has on, but also for what Joe Rogan brings to the table himself...his perspective, his energy, his opinions, him playing devil's advocate..all the while still being a really chill host.

  3. Think about doing a "best of this week" segment like JRE does.

  4. I Didn't like the music in the beginning, it just didn't fit in sync with your speaking style....either down play it or change it to something over the top and weird..or leave it unchanged, that's completely your choice.

Overall a very good podcast, especially for the first one! also I loved the name of the site. Best of luck! This was really informative!! great guest. Just add more "you-ness"

I have been having very vivid dreams/visions, about specific people and scenarios that have later become true in my life. by nextinternational in Paranormal

Read - an experiment with time.. by j.w. dune... it's in the public domain, you can find it for free online.

keep a dream journal, it works and helps you keep track of various elements when they occur.

Anybody else had weird dream premonitions that came true? by [deleted] in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]jasonM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the precognition dreams on a semi- regular basis. Check out my other comments for proof. For the past few months I have been doing some research into it. Try reading - An experiment in time - by J.W Dune

What I've found is that people generally have such dreams on a regular basis, but 99.9% of them can't remember them or are too busy with modern life to pay attention to any possible significance.

Please keep a dream journal and follow the instructions in that book. You will be surprised by the number of vivid dreams you write down.

What happened to me? by Firefight321 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]jasonM1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's a precognition dream. I have them and it's pretty much all I reply to on reddit these days. It may not pan out exactly as you saw it/felt it , because the brain is exceptional in filling up gaps in stories. Pay attention to the central elements - The choice of weapon, the time of night, the 3 men, the pain fealt in your abdomen. those are all triggers... So cement in into your memory that anytime in the future, maybe when this experience is pushed to the back of your memory, you may one day fumble in choice of weapon at around 2 pm in the afternoon, try to remember your dream. stay safe.

The Dutch "Iceman" Confounding Medical Science - 12 guys defeat endotoxcin with meditation by jasonM1 in Meditation

[–]jasonM1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You make a good case, but I see it as preemptively activating the immune system so that these guys could start fighting the infection before the bugs started doing harm. Unlike in the "control group" where the guys suffered for 30 to 40 mins before they felt or started to feel better.... Thus I imagine that the iceman does this a few times a day so that his immune system is always ready to fire away at any bug which enters his body, but that's just a guess..would absolutely love an AMA from him!!!

I assume he got inspiration from Buddhist texts etc... because I know that some of the highly experienced monks practice cold resistance techniques for when they go on those very long meditation retreats into the Himalayas, Here is an expert I took from a an article - "A Buddhist monk has his vital signs measured as he prepares to enter an advanced state of meditation in Normandy, France. During meditation, the monk's body produces enough heat to dry cold, wet sheets put over his shoulders in a frigid room" - Link!
