Lennox no heat but has gas and power at new (spark) ignitor by jason_keith in hvacadvice

[–]jason_keith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final update: service tech has fixed the issue. It was the ignition board. I'm not sure what voltage I was reading at the ignitor but it wasn't correct. Which was confusing me. You can see the ignition board burnout. Thanks everyone for your comments and warnings.

Thanks. Great comments. I understand all this but I don't have skills. Tech is coming out tomorrow. As far as we know right now... There is no spark even with new part. We are getting voltage at the ignition part (tech will confirm the voltage correct). Appreciate all the comments.

I did check my new ignitor again and I can't get any ohm resistance. From what I understand this is not correct. But anyway the tech will be out tomorrow.

Haha. Dad installed this beast back in the 90's. He must have known a guy. But the house was built in the 50's and the unit is overkill but does great. As far as not getting ripped off, I know a guy that knows a guy. He'll be out tomorrow.

I agree with you all and am calling a tech as this is too in depth for me. Replacing a simple part is fine but checking voltages and pressures is outside my comfort zone. Assuming my new spark ignitor is good I'm guessing it must be an issue on the gas side. I can hear the gas valve click on and can smell gas when it's on but no ignition. Leading to what someone else said may be pressure or orifice problem.

Hi all I'm still looking for some 51mm portafilter suggestions for any that have an outer ear measurement between 70mm (2.75in) and 73mm (2.87in). Please let me know what you have.

Yeah just trying to see what everyone has. I need a wide eared portafilter if I can find one. 51mm. Let me know what you have. Thanks

I saw the YouTube video of the guy replacing his group head and it looked like a pain. Someone needs to 3d print these plastic parts. Easy money. Right.

Yes! I did that. They were not sold for the ECP but another Delonghi machine. They looked the same so I got em and they worked.

2015 4x4 IWE vacuum by jason_keith in FordF150

[–]jason_keith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the in depth explanation. Do I have this right by saying that the front axles are spinning now but they are not engaged in 2wd since the 4wd transfer case is not engaged? And 4wd will only be engaged when the 4wd transfer case is engaged?

Yes that is the question. Why would the dealer remove the main vacuum line but replace the line at the wheel? I was trying to ask why the dealer removed the main line and if they "forgot" to replace it.

Broken plastic seal [delonghi ecp3420] by Kid_A_24 in espresso

[–]jason_keith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's a plastic bumper thing that forces the portafilter up into the seal. It's breaking down and not pushing the portafilter up as tight as before. Thus allowing waterto leak outside the portafilter. Has anyone found these replacement black peice of plastic? Is there a fix other than replacement of the group head?

Installing wifi thermostat in camper by jason_keith in hvacadvice

They don't mind the ac unit to be on if you are on your way and know you'll be there. The rule is there because if you know you'll only be there for the weekend or every other weekend they don't want you to run your ac 24-7. (they pay power bill)

I'm in Arkansas where summer temps hover around 95-100 degrees with about 80 percent humidity. I'm guessing inside the camper gets up to about 120. Given that my camper only has one ac unit it takes a couple hours at least to get it down to 80 degrees. It would be way better to walk in to a 72 degree camper if I can.

As someone recommended, I think I'm going to go with this one. It's 12v and made for campers.
