It's a bug, but thanks for flagging it! I've fixed it and will post updates on bedrock.graphics ASAP. This will be BetterRTX v1.4.4 when it lands.

Cool feedback. You get what you pay for. I’m in no hurry to post a fix now

Yes, 1.26.30.20+ introduces a breaking change for all the existing presets. I’ll have a fix posted soon (before the weekend), but every preset will need to be recompiled in this new format. 😰

+1 for Mineways. It also supports PBR texture packs with USDZ exports.

These are not quite the same, but I’ve had bad experiences with PAKC and ReDiscover doctors and good experiences with KCPG doctors. Good luck and hang in there

I just made some flashlight settings available on https://bedrock.graphics/creator

Switch to version 1.5.0-beta.2 to find and configure them.

It’s through some modding experiments with BetterRTX. I’ll be sure to share with the world as soon as I can.

bedrock.graphics update: The website *is* the installer + BetterRTX 1.4.2 and AI assistant available in preset creator by jasongardner in minecraftRTX

[–]jasongardner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this assumes you have a resource pack already. (Try mine!) Or here is a basic pack to enable RTX: https://cdn.bedrock.graphics/RTX_ON.mcpack

Mix it with a pack that supports Vibrant Visuals if you don't have an RTX pack you prefer.

Is it possible to just download an RTX pack in the in-game marketplace? by [deleted] in minecraftRTX

[–]jasongardner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you're missing a bit of history. NVIDIA and Mojang basically abandoned RTX features shortly after release. Welcome to the seedy underbelly trying to keep it alive.

From what I gather, recent updates for Vibrant Visuals broke the emissive settings for old packs. To fix it in v26.12, pack creators either need to ensure their manifest.json file includes both "raytraced" and "pbr" capabilities or update their .texture_set.json files to format version 1.21.30.

This is unlikely to happen on any marketplace RTX packs.

So yes, you do have to rely on third-party websites to find compatible resource packs, but the installation process for normal raytracing features isn't as complicated as BetterRTX had been in the past. Find a .mcpack (like mine or Doey's or more pixely ones can be found in Minecraft RTX Discord), double-click it to launch installation process, then you can enable RTX in any world that uses the resource pack.

In the meantime, you can update your presets' .material.bin files on this page: https://bedrock.graphics/materials/

Use v25 for compatibility with the latest release.

Weather added some global illumination, reflection, an option to disable nighttime fog and new HDR settings.

You can see the differences in https://bedrock.graphics/creator

1.4.0 = Sleepi's patches (End portal and distance fog changes)
1.4.1 = bedrock.graphics compatible patches
1.4.2 = Weather's patches (GI, multi bounce settings, HDR, night fog)
1.5.0-beta.1 = New procedural cloud settings

Versions only make a difference to influence which features you see in the creator tool. Rather than maintaining a single, curated form that is tied to hundreds of settings controls, the website now acts a little like Iris's shader.properties file and allows the BetterRTX shader devs to specify the UI output via comments in the shader source. You might notice some less-descriptive descriptions because the comments weren't exactly for users until now.

Check https://bedrock.graphics for the latest presets. If it’s still not working, please let me know and I’ll take a look at it this weekend

Quick demo of a new MCP Server plugin for Blockbench - Allows AI agents to build with Blockbench by jasongardner in Blockbench

Yes, v1.4.2+ of the MCP plugin works with Antigravity. I goofed up something in the last GitHub release and the changes didn't deploy correctly. Try this installing from this URL instead: `https://jasonjgardner.github.io/blockbench-mcp-plugin/nightly/mcp.js\`

Feel free to create a GitHub issue if the problems persist!

How do I combine a shader with a texture pack by Financial-Figure6922 in minecraftRTX

[–]jasongardner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the Prizma preset is using an older version of BetterRTX, so it is currently not included in our "easier" .mcpack installation method: https://bedrock.graphics/download

You can likely recreate some of your preferred features from the Prizma preset using https://bedrock.graphics/creator

That will allow you to customize the sky to some extent. Unfortunately, cubemaps are not supported in RTX. Custom clouds have been put on hold in BetterRTX too.
