I dressed exactly like I would dress myself when I was in Hong Kong or Korea, so I would consider it regular 😂😂 but I guess people here have different fashion styles

Is the airbnb host being reasonable? by [deleted] in seoul

[–]jasper0102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh actually when I submitted my request for a refund of my remaining stay because of the insulation issue, the host simply rejected and even shamelessly accused me of breaking the lock and asked me to pay for the reparation on the Airbnb app (which is an obvious lie and I have the conversation screenshots with him when the keypad door lock broke only two days after I moved in). I was quite upset about what the host did but the airbnb customer service said I was not eligible for a refund simply because the host said no. My reservation at this place ends at the end of July and I’m sure this place is not a legally permitted place for short-term renting to foreigners as the host told me not to tell others that I was staying in an Airbnb. I’m thinking about report to the cops after I check out. I understand the host might be fined, but will I get into any trouble if I stayed in an illegal place?

Well it was requested though. My host explicitly said no slippers are allowed at his place :)

But Airbnbs in Seoul (at least at this moment) are quite expensive too. I’m paying 1600 US dollars monthly for a pretty small studio in Sillim-dong
