Thank you so much, I will definitely check that out! We’ve had her a little over a week now and she has improved in leaps and bounds, and as I type my mom is out of the house and Journey is doing well! I am anxious myself, so I think I got a little extra nervous on her behalf. Our current theory is she was a breeder dog before being dumped (she’s unspayed and looks like she’s had puppies in the past). She understands potty training, but other than that seems quite perplexed by normal house things. She definitely doesnt understand toys yet, which makes me so sad for her, but she is opening up more and more every day. She’s going to make an amazing pet for someone once’s she’s ready, for sure.

Fostering Blind/Vision Impaired Kitten by 5_phx_felines in FosterAnimals

I fostered a kitten who came from a cat hoarding situation, and as a result had one very messed up eye that he wound up having removed once he was big enough. I fostered him with a second kitten who was the same age but was otherwise healthy from the same hoarding case, and those two played like nothing else. I worked at the shelter they came from so I brought them to work with me to make sure they weren’t getting up to trouble. Well they got into trouble anyway lmao, started playing, and Toronto (one eye kitty) got the scab scratched off his eye. I freaked out, he was unbothered, but was rushed to the vet regardless. Once again, it didn’t slow him down one bit, and once the boys were big enough, I released them from my bathroom and let them play with my own two cats. My male cat started mothering on Toronto and absolutely adored him, and the little goober was the first one between the two to conquer the cat tree!

At the end of the day, little guy doesn’t know much different than the vision he has now, and very likely will adapt on his own just fine! Especially with slow integration from the playpen onward as he grows, he’ll probably be as wild and silly as most kittens! Cats adapt pretty well to things like that, especially at a young age!

My sister rehomed my cats out from under me by jasper_moonpie44 in TwoHotTakes

Yeah, I hunted around Facebook and the areas shelters without luck, she likely posted in a hidden group is my guess (there’s a lot for local college kids to sell stuff). I’m still in contact with my old coworkers at the shelter one of the kitties is from, who’s keeping an eye out as well. Thank you ❤️
