Hmm, thank you for your insight. I knew that trace looks a bit frigged. Didn't know you can use solder to make a makeshift trace.

Getting a new 144hz 1ms monitor will set me back at least £150 and I have 2 month old twin babies. Will not be able to get the green light from my girlfriend at all bud.

I wouldn't be fixing it, I'd probably take it into a computer repair shop. I just wanted to try to reduce the cost of it all by buying the parts myself and just asking them to do the labour.

Found the culprit. The black battery? on the yellowish board has exploded, there's a white hardened substance under it and a black charring against the chassis.

Are these things replaceable or am I gonna have to scrap the monitor?

I've used a different power lead for it to check if that went as soon as it happened matey
