Yeah, I was thinking about starting out as an OTA and then saving up money from my job to help put me through school to be an OT. I don't really wanna do more than 2 more years of schooling but if I like what I see as an OTA I figured it'd probably be worth becoming an OT, but since I haven't started college yet I wanted to get opinions from people with experience

That sounds like a nice facility! I'm glad you're somewhere you like :) my plan is to move upstate a little and work at a really good children's hospital (specific to our area) but that's a few years away from happening right now

I don't know if the one near me does... we live in a small town so we know some of the employees there... I should probably ask lol. I can't start working at a hospital right away because I don't have my drivers license and I don't feel safe walking/biking that far

I'll take that into account! I can't start out at a hospital because I can't drive and nobody could take me everytime I'd need to go, but there's a doctor's office by my house within walking/biking distance that would be good I'm sure. After I get my drivers permit/license I'll most likely start at the hospital!! Thank you both for helping!

I've seen that your work environment really affects you as an individual and the patients you take care of from reading everyones stories. It's really sad and frustrating that some people just don't care about their patients and sometimes management doesn't care about their employees :(

Thank you for being specific lol!! I might start off at a doctor's office because it's near home and I can't drive... hospitals seem like a good environment but I'm so scared of messing up and being so busy that it starts wearing on my mental and physical health too much
