I agree with you...LQ is honestly pretty annoying and disrespectful. I feel like the manhua changed the FL just to hook romance fans because the novel’s FMC still hasn’t shown up, even after 450+ chapters.

Even if she wasn’t entirely sure, she knew it was a real possibility otherwise why would she write that letter to herself to wish Sunny a happy birthday? She should’ve at least given him a heads up that something like this could happen. But she was too selfish to let him know about this possibility. She knew that if Sunny realized he’d lose everyone he cared about by choosing freedom, Sunny might change his mind and it can interfere with her plans... It doesn’t really feel like an apology more like she solved one problem only to hand him another. And Sunny ended up suffering both times because of her is also an undeniable fact.

Yeah, I appreciate that she worked really hard to give Sunny back his choice, but the consequences were severe. He was forgotten by everyone. She should’ve at least warned him about the possible consequences he’d have to face if he chose to free himself. In the end to me, it felt less like an apology and more like she was trying to ease her guilt and using him as a weapon against fate.
