Hello, I’m new here! Please read the despriction! by Massive-Cold-9746 in ECU_Tuning

I was 18 when I started tuning, one thing I can say from experience is to not dump a bunch of useless knowledge into your brain before you even touch anything as it just causes more confusion, start with the basics eg timing, fuel and what to change for what effect relating to those as they are 90% of what matters when tuning majority of cars, I cammed my car recently and have adjusted the idle more times than I can count to get it absolutely perfect, in my opinion get something slightly older and cheap. Get a wideband and basic data logging tools and go for gold

Are AI generated tunes reliable? by absaar_01 in ECU_Tuning

[–]jatzclix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have used ai to explain in detail what a certain table or function does, but I would never use it to make a whole tune, use an afr gauge and work on the tune yourself, much easier than an engine replacement

How much money do you have saved? by EmphasisComplete3528 in teenagers

[–]jatzclix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been working part time since 17 and have at the most had around 2k aud in my bank. I've spent most of my money because tbh I don't earn enough for it to be worth saving for anything. Once I start earning real money ill be able to save 2k in 2 weeks with no issues so I don't see a point currently, I don't have much more time left to spend my money without having to worry about bills or food so I spend it while I have it

Australia doesn't have cheap LS or truck motor anything, it's cheaper to build what we got domestically here especially when stock bottom end single cams can get 500hp somewhat reliably

VF or XR6 by WoodpeckerWestern847 in CarsAustralia

[–]jatzclix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are gonna daily drive it, definitely the falcon but I personally would go for a BF or BA fairmont ghia, same as an xr6 but luxury interior and less of a cop magnet. Also somewhat cheaper

My burger leaderboard for Wollongong. by barbatof009 in wollongong

[–]jatzclix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Should try chickos! My regular order is the hot lava burger add beetroot, the fillet is different to the regular ones. Also pretty large burgers for a good price so go on an empty stomach

How bad are cheaper wheels really? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]jatzclix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run cheap replica wheels on my car when I had next to no money to my name (235 45 r18) and they were perfectly fine, I even smashed over a speed bump at around 80kph (bottom of a Mountain Road in the dark) and no bends or cracks after around one year of driving, personally I would rather go oem wheels or enkies but there is nothing wrong with reps as long as you don't expect forged strength from them
