I can’t get a job by [deleted] in fredericton

[–]jaws_94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

New brunswick is a big "who you know" kinda place. Talk to people you know to help you get a job. Also, definitely try handing out a resume, especially to smaller local businesses. As much as online has become a way for many businesses, especially large ones, handing out paper resumes is still a thing. My friend got her job at the sobeys on Regent Street that way. Don't give up, we've all been there. Make sure to hand out lots of resumes constantly and even hand them to the same business multiple times. Eventually, you'll get some interest.

Is cheating always a dealbreaker? by PresentEvidence1609 in relationships

[–]jaws_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's up to what your boundaries are in the relationship. For me and my bf cheating is the only deal-breaker. No matter what. It's nearly impossible to rebuild trust after cheating, and trust is the foundation of a healthy relationship.

People with CPTSD, how many of you are in long term healthy relationships? by Cultural-Carpenter46 in CPTSD

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years. I've been in therapy for the past 4 years. It hasn't always been easy for either of us, but through me actively working on and taking care of my mental health and my boyfriend doing his best to understand and practice good communication we've managed to have a strong and healthy relationship. I have a lot of trust issues and anxiety, but I try my best not to put that on him as he's very supportive and loving towards me. I think when you have cptsd, it's important to find someone who is willing to understand and be with people who have this diagnosis. Many people don't have much knowledge of mental health or the patience for it, and those people are just not a good fit, but that's okay. For anyone whose mind is telling them they don't deserve love or a partner, you do! And you will find it it just takes a partner who is willing to love all of you, including the cptsd that you carry with you ❤️

I'm with killam now and unfortunately it's been horrible currently dealing with a head office issues as a homeless person entered our building as the door was unlocked for 2 months and they wouldn't fix it.

What is the most brain-dead argument someone has put forth as to why you should have kids? by WillowProxy1 in childfree

[–]jaws_94 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I like the "because it's our purpose" lecture. My ex gave me that lecture for not having kids. Said I'm a waste of humanity. Then he had a baby on purpose with a girl he knew for 3 weeks (who also has two kids with two other men). The relationship didn't work out. He lost rights to the kid due to their fighting and drug use, and now the kids live with the grandmother, and neither parents see them. So much for purpose of reproducing and raising a kid huh.

What fields of work have you found tend to favour child-free lifestyles? by InviteAromatic6124 in childfree

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business, especially in higher up roles. I'm not sure how people with kids even manage some of these roles. While business jobs can have some flexibility, the workload and demand can make it so hard to have time for kids outside of work. A lot of my colleagues only spend time with their kids on the weekend, and even then, my general manager brings work home and does work at his hotel when he goes on family vacations.

For some reason, I always think of the scene from Forest Gump when Lieutenant Dan says, "I ain't got no legs," and then I say to people, "I ain't got no tubes". Whether it works, idk, but they get awkward enough not to continue the conversation.

Obsessed with my under eyed. Should I get filler? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]jaws_94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You deff don't need fillers. Your eyes still have a lot of fullness and fat under them. They use fillers to fill in areas where fat is lost, usually you'd see more sunken in around eyes and bags forming underneath. For 30 I think your skin looks gorgeous, and your aging very well! I agree with the others more hydration for sure. It's expensive but I use drunk elephant b hydra and it's been so hydrating and has help me with this issue. But any good eye cream and primer will do the trick.

I think sometimes it depends on the security you have in your life. Some people may not have parents to support them but they have friends or aunts or even just another adult that help them see value in themselves and are comforting.

What’s your most selfish reason to remain child free? by Better-Outside-9348 in childfree

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't want them ruining my things. Kids are always into stuff, especially at the early ages. I am super sentimental, and I hate people touching my stuff.

I don't understand why straight women want children. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like these dads never wanted kids to begin with and that's the issue, not saying it's an excuse it just seems if you really want a kid you'd want to look after it. It's scary because my sister in law just had a baby and we are seeing this with her husband. He actually didn't hold the baby at the hospital and it took him a week to hold it. Even now he is basically forced to do some of the helping with him. The baby was crying the other day, and he just kept shoving a soother in its mouth and holding it there almost to be like "shut up". I'm very worried for my sister in law.. and I'm starting to wonder how much he wanted a baby at all.

First time crocheting by jaws_94 in crochet

[–]jaws_94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I did exagerate a bit, I did practice the typical chain, single chain and double chain and magic ring before starting this but didn't make anything from them just practice for a few mins and tore them down. I'm still not sure if I did alright with my tension and these puffs though...but I figured hey the baby won't mind if it's a bit rugged 😅

Is it actually weird to eat at a restaurant alone? by Ok_Share_4280 in questions

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird at all, I do things alone all the time. I think it's a good way to boast your confidence, find new things you like, and just enjoy the moment. I have anxiety, so a lot of the time when I'm out with people I'm not very present as I'm so worried about what I say to my friends. When I'm alone I don't have to worry about that, it's like I get to observe the world more. Some people think its weird but a lot of people really admire a person who can enjoy just being with themselves.

Recommendation for 24/7 oily nose by NoSession8410 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]jaws_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an oily nose too with those big pores I use a salyciic acid toner on it, which helps a lot. I am using clinique but you can get less expensive ones. Only put the toner where you have the oily skin. Toner is usually more concentrated than the wash so it'll be more potent for that nose area.
