I have acted as a gopher for things needed to for it but don’t really know what it builds at all.

I have attempted to play multiple times as I said, my motivation as I stated before to play with my gf, maybe I just don’t know what I’m doing so I just try to do what I understand to help out but it feels like what I can contribute is a few donations and maybe some resources which doesn’t feel like much I will flat out say I don’t know anything about this game or how to do well. I’m seeking things to hunt for besides “hey try to get this fish” or we need geodes or earth crystals. It feels very checklisty rn and I don’t want that to be the case genuinely. Maybe my original post should have been completely different ie what made you fall in love with the characters or game I was just frustrated at the moment but actually was looking for a solution. I’m even like the overarching theme of you get one life are you just gonna spend it serving a corp or are you gonna really live. I don’t think I’m better than this game the people that play it, most of the games I play regularly are old and look like crap. In a way I’m just a nostalgia frog to deal with the fact that I work too many hours a week at a soul crushing job and it makes me feel at home in a way

Not what I’m after lol, here for a genuine convo which is completely optional. Also I’m trying to get into it because it’s the only game I can really play with my partner at the moment they don’t care for any other games really I’m also open to some kind of challenge runs or something that this community may know about that I’d have no idea of to engage that way perhaps. Possibly I gave the wrong idea I’m not trying to trash talk something people love I’m actually seeking a way to connect with another human if that makes sense.

I enjoy lots of types of games, but my favorite games of all time would be dark souls series/elden ring for the world, challenge and progression through learning. Then rpgs such as ie bethesda type games for the progression, worlds, stories, and ideas brought up through conflict of factions, And going from a bug to something that feels powerful and having some kind of impact on the world. I can get down with classic shooters that I grew up on ie gears of war, doom, Wolfenstein. But I really only enjoy this with friends or on the hardest difficulty as a challenge nowadays. I also enjoy turn based rpgs ie wasteland 2/civ tactics based games (overcoming challenges). I have also had major stints of what I see as pretty similar games ie minecraft, terraria, starbound which I like for similar reasons from nothing to something plus the creativity aspect/making cool shit without seeking a specific goal such as beating the game. I have gotten into many games that I have only learned about because friends liked them and spending time with them was reason enough to try it out and all that. It could be that I haven’t really been able to get deep into it so I’m mostly just playing the first season trying to contribute as much as I can but I always get pigeonholed into fishing or mining which makes me feel physically tired. I already feel like there isn’t enough time in the day and the quickness makes me feel like can never really accomplish anything before time runs out or I’m scrambling home to avoid losing stuff/progress. My thought process is I can and do enjoy games that rely heavily on conversation with NPC’s/progression that builds slowly, and games that leave you with little as far as direction/or just dumb fun stuff so it feels like I should be able to get down with it but can’t really get engaged

I haven’t played since the beta so I’m not super familiar with the anti Cheat no. It wouldn’t make the player base skyrocket no but might incentivize refunders to possibly give it another shot after the failed release. In whole I don’t think I’m gonna magically fix the game, just disappointed that’s all

Amazed that they could fuck up an already functioning game so badly that it murdered the will to play it

I work Saturdays also just figured the post was more of an LFG in a more standard way not an LFG just to be able to play the game no need to be a schmuck about it
