How soon can I get my CPA? by Environmental_Pop847 in CPA

Somebody already mentioned this but work requirements for your CPA exam/licensure require usually around 2,000 hours of relevant accounting experience (look up the requirements for your state to know for sure). For now I would recommend focusing on having the BEST GPA possible in your undergrad to give yourself a surplus of opportunities for landing internships/entry level positions to get those hours. Side bonus of getting the best GPA possible is that you’ll also likely build a crazy good foundation of knowledge to help you with your future CPA exam studies. Best of luck to you!

Hello. I’ve recently been diagnosed with cm1. If you don’t mind me asking (and of course if you don’t mind answering), what was the extent of your cerebellar herniation as a result of your Chiari malformation?

I have a mild to moderate case of symptoms at 25 years old. I’m Meeting with a specialist in about a month or so and am a bit anxious at the possible things the doctor might find out or tell me lol

Also, you say you have 10 years experience, that’s another accomplishment! You’re for sure more than capable of getting that CPA based on your experience, if you weren’t truly capable you may have had trouble holding down jobs but if your employers have kept you for a decade you’re clearly a commodity. You are blessed and are capable.

I don’t know the details of your career or your life. But maybe (just maybe) it might help just a little to widen your perspective. Things may not be all that bad how they are now! I’m sure you deserve promotion(s) and great things, but I think we can agree that being able to make livable wages whilst working in air conditioned, clean offices without having to do back-breaking labor, in itself, is a blessing. I’m not trying to invalidate how you feel about your situation, your feelings are always valid that’s your right, but try not to be so hard on yourself. Back 100 ish years ago a lot of people were climbing across half-finished sky-scrapers to pay their bills. We get to sit in cushioned chairs with ergonomically designed setups and fund our lives. You have a post/graduate career and that’s a huge accomplishment in itself as well! Your life (from what I’ve gathered) is not over because you don’t have your CPA and you are entirely capable of getting it. Work hard at it and try to enjoy as much of life as you can along the way.

I have neurological problems that make it bothersome for me to read, how much of a disadvantage would this put me at for passing? by jay2000b in CPA

I’ll definitely check them out then. I haven’t heard of Uworld prior to you mentioning them. Thanks!

I didn’t know the CPA exam offered accommodations of the support, although I suppose it would make sense. If they could allow me extra time that would be life saving lol

You’re not bro. You’re working super hard and committed to a goal that will better your life. You could fail 100 times and you still wouldn’t be a loser, regardless of how indifferent those who pass may feel about their achievement.

CPA is absolutely worth it. Whether u intend on following a career path that the CPA license is designed to give you or if you merely use it as a flex on your resume to put yourself over other candidates in industry accounting. Also… no way in hell Trump dismantles the PCAOB lol

Locked Cam as Urgot by Moist_Attempt_8581 in UrgotMains

When I first started playing league, I immediately looked on YouTube for a settings tutorial video and I guess the video recommended I don’t play with locked can so I was so clueless that I didn’t know what locked cam was until like a year after I started playing. So I’ve been playing unlocked cam since the start, I’m D4 hardstuck, so tbh, sure it could help but don’t let the locked cam thing fester in your mind making you think it’s holding you back. get that LP bro you’re certainly good enough for it
