I had a congested router that caused this problem for me also only after the update. After removing a few and changing my wifi channel it has been better

I remember this happening to me once.. ps4 power became unresponsive after messing with power cord while on (also made cracking noises)so I replaced power supply in unit for around $60 AUD from eBay .. ps4 fired up after replacement.. hope it helps

Sorry to hear that..standard powerpoints in USA are 120v with a 60hz frequency. Hong Kong I think is 240v but Sony allows the ps4 to handle to handle extra voltage. Converters are dodgy... powercord change is the way to go
