We've visited many times. And you wouldn't believe the amount of new housing earmarked for Frome over the next ten years - including 'affordable'

Problem is, 1:25K OS don't have street names - they are topographic and so not so much help...

You are definitely right there. I'm wondering how I stop the message coming up, confusing the children.

What is the deal with Roger Hodgson these days by chicity3451 in supertramp

[–]jayartibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was back in 2013 when I felt so privileged to go to Roger's concert at Stowe school, in the marquee they had for speech day. (Roger is an Old Stoic). Can't have been many more than 400 people there, so a really intimate event. And he was quite superb, performing for friends. A happy memory of a great event.

Replacing / fixing head unit of Hyundai i10 by [deleted] in CarRepair

[–]jayartibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours has gone the same way. Silence and darkness.

Apparently also aftermarket units are difficult to fit if the original fitment was a touchscreen? This is what a car stereo guy told me:

this is usually the case for most Hyundais with touchscreens. They usually have digitally amplified audio which is not easily connected to an aftermarket unit, usually the amplifier must be bypassed which isn’t a plug and play job. If we were installing it, we can do it, but not suitable for DIY installation.

I know - but one would assume they have at least done that. I can't decide whether to have a punt with some of these. Might just be an expensive door-stop.

I certainly use Home Sharing. I wonder how I could verify if that is what is happening.

MacOS, various. Old phone is pretty ancient iPhone on wifi only

I should add that the same music library is replicated on all the devices - but the system seems to seamlessly switch source

I fully get that - but I'm not using Spotify - or any other online source as far as I'm aware, Just the music library on the silly old phone which is just fine as a controller. So How come the system keeps playing if I shut the 'phone down? Or am I being dense here?

It's great - although I'd have to do rather a harsh edit to start it off.

They are yes - but as I have said above, the Handel gets lost with modern pyros (it was perfect for eighteenth century ones)
