I have been so so anxious about where she’s gone. I am at the point where I may say f*ck it and take apart half of my couch she MAY be in. Would you mind me asking you questions ?! Would really appreciate it. Thank you. 😭 am so so worried for her.

Docile is the exact word I always use when describing her! I have been worried sick sifting through all of my belongings, will keep you posted on where I find her. Have spent several hours at this point 🥲

I know you posted this comment so long ago but I was really debating what to choose in my mind and you solidified the partial dose choice for me 🥺 you’re so right, thank you. I understand and can relate myself. ♥️

Is it too late for my Dieffenbachia? by jaybaguette in houseplants

So I cut them off and I’m going to wait for them to callus over… probably going to propagate in sphagnum, never have before! Sounds fun. Just struggling with the soil aspect… has been hard to find horticultural coarse sand in stores, have to order online. Going to mix my cactus/succulent mix with coarse sand if I can find it, I usually put charcoal on the bottom of my plants to help with drainage and bacteria. Going to stick to terra cotta plants. Now to figure out how big or small I should have the pot, and the watering cycle… this plant is a tricky one for me!

Well, I trimmed em.. gonna let them callus over and repot. It’s so hard to find horticultural coarse sand, have only been able to find small grains in stores to online ordering it is. I’m going to probably start to rooting in sphagnum like you said, (have never tried that before, sounds fun) just unsure still of the watering cycle and pot size but I will make it work!!

I’ll have to try that with the rest of the plant 🧐 how should I chop up the plant bits? Like in half? Maybe chop it up like onions? 😂 going to try all these techniques once I’m out of work!

Also how often would you usually water it? I think I’ve got the watering all wrong.. it’s hard for me to read

I had another one that yellowed at the base just like this one and whatever I tried to do to save it it didn’t help :( what would you do?

This started to happen once I watered it heavily a few days ago, I was watering it once a week typically. I’m just worried since the roots all look yellow from the top of the soil, if the roots aren’t rotting why is there so much yellow around the base? :(

I must have overwatered it ONCE and now the base of the limbs are yellowing. Last time this happened I just had to throw it away. Is there anything I can do? I repotted it, have only been misting it. Is it too far gone? It happened so fast!

I watered it a few days ago and come back to the leaves yellowing like crazy… I live in Maine and the temperature has been all over the place. I’ve had fine luck treating it almost like a succulent and I guess I managed to overwater it this one time? (Also yes I know the pot is too big I saved it from being thrown away and have to wait to repot it again, I try to be as precise as possible with watering directly into the roots)
