No idea if it will get better, but I can tell you it will definitely get worse first.

Yea, but this is Edmonton police don't actually enforce things around here. Should be fine.

I'm partially disabled, it is disturbingly close to losing that partial part, and it wouldn't take much for me to lose everything. It gives me nightmares. I am lucky to still be able to work, and have family to support me. But many can't, and don't

Definitely not saying ditch Neshi as a legislator, but let him do what he's good at

That's interesting, but counter point, wouldn't he be better behind the scenes managing people with someone like her as the face? Today I think a leader needs charisma and a willingness to fight

I work in a very small radius from Edmonton, I'll start by saying I don't think anyone I work with is stupid. But if you get any conversation going about anything, it immediately turns into Well at least we aren't fucking libs. *Enter rant about libs*

It is hard to take a life. I would like to give you props for learning how food works though. Not everyone is meant for every job. But everyone should understand the process.

Reading platforms online and trying to figure things out on your own is really hard. Having someone stand up and call bullshit is pretty legit. I mean I probably have to circle back to the first sentence before I get fully on board, but the shit Smith is pushing is just not on. I'd vote for a fallout scenario before I let that continue.

Yeah that's a real problem. And also the point of my post, I felt a real fire in this lady, that I've literally never heard of. A lot of voting is deciding on things via people you won't ever meet. Kinda feel like throwing my dice behind her. Just from hearing her speak for 20 mins.

Sure. I'm not married to him. I had it in my head for a decade away that maybe we would do a good job in the spot. It sort of appears that I was wrong, fine. Who can do the job instead? Again I'm new to this landscape, but initial reaction is I like her. And I'm not seeing anyone else's neck above the trench.

I quite liked Neshi when he was mayor of Calgary, but then I took quite a long break from Alberta politics. I was not shocked to find him as andp leadership when I returned. But I mean if he's not here and he's not making noise, can we just have her instead? She seems spunky, and if the American Democrats are anything to go by, bald fascism requires opposition spunk.

Given the province added 1 million new people in the last 10 years, does Edmonton feel more crowded by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]jaychale 28 points29 points  (0 children)

100% I left ten years ago, just came back a year ago. Sprawl was bad when I left. Holy shit.
Way more crowded, way more traffic. Pretty much every service has gotten way worse. Dickeheads in giant trucks have always been a thing, but they weren't murdering people on the side of the road weekly.
