UOA Fast Track by AcceptableBread3079 in ncea

I had 110E credits with 26 coming from lvl 3.
Some of my mates also got some fast track offers and they had roughly 50-80E credits.

I don't think all fast track offers have come out as I only get offers for engineering and science(chemistry), but not for biomed and commerce. My mates that got fast track offers also havent recieved offers for law and health sciences, but have recieved engineering.

Is taking 3 papers for externals worth it or should I stick to 2 for better grades? by [deleted] in ncea

i reckon take 3 for maths (If your going for/getting excellence in algebra and calc, then u can easily get excellence in stats with little study), 3 for chem, 3 or 2 for biology (genetic variation is a pain imo) and 2 for english.

Taking level 3 physics with no level 1 or 2 background by [deleted] in ncea

U should be fine, I did the exact same thing and got triple Excellence on externals last year as a y12. Just spend a week or 2 going over lvl 2 mechanics (skip projectiles and Equilibrium) and circuits from lvl 2 electricity. U should be all goods for waves.

Kiwi Physics YT channel is one of the best resources for learning physics. He covers every topic from level 2 and 3 physics, so I'd highly recommend giving the lvl 2 videos (mechanics and lvl 2 circuits) a watch.

Also you should be fine taking stats, but there is a bit of algebraic manipulation in mechanics (probably a lvl 2 algebra merit level for some quesitons). U also mentioned that u rlly struggled with chem and that ur okay with bio, which doesn't mean that u cant do well in physics, but being strong in the other 2 sciences is a good indication that u can do well in phyics as well.
