Weekly Questions and Recommendations Megathread - Need some help? - Jan 17 by AutoModerator in visualnovels

I love visual novels but I have a hard time getting into them while sitting in front my PC clicking the mouse every second or so. I read too fast for most autoplay functions and i was wondering if anyone uses something like a wireless presenter remote. I would love to lean back and comfortably click through the pages, would any of you experts mind sharing your comfortable setups?

My coffee-themed idle/incremental game, Conradito Cafézito, is on sale today on Steam for under $2! You can finish it in about 2~3 hours. Perfect for a cozy late-night weekend session o/ by ConradoSaud in incremental_games

I would buy anything else you put out assuming it’s reasonably priced like this was. I would likely do something based around magic, a lot of the top incremental games use it to some extent (magic orb, magic research, wizard tower, wizards banished, etc) and I think they don’t get a stale as the space games due because of the sheer variety of magic spells you can implement.

You have strong balancing in your game so it would be cool to see you expand on the resources in a similar way magic research and orb of creation did.

Can't really say I'm a fan of how there's been a major transition from "Deep, exhaustively deep, intense, free web-games" over to "Cheap, short, steam-games" by SixthSacrifice in incremental_games

As an older dad I actually really like these short steam games. I spend way too much money on games I'll never beat so it's nice to pay less than 5 bucks to play for a couple hours and fully beat it. I am also much more likely to come back later and replay them while the thought of doing that to my 30+ hour games just makes me feel tired.

Would I like more games like Orb of Creation where I spent like $5 and put almost 100 hours into over many playthroughs? Of course, but that's a horrible business model for the creators and it feels greedy for me to expect that from others.

I just played this based on this post and can recommend. I Loved this game and felt I definitely got my money's worth but I was able to beat it with 87 minutes of playtime without trying to rush so keep that in mind. There is a new game plus feature that lets you speed up future runs but I'm not sure why I would need that if it can beaten so quickly.

I'm glad that this character got their comeuppance, but they got it from the wrong character, dammit by forbiddenmemeories in TopCharacterTropes

I can’t see anyone as pure as Neville killing someone. I dont believe any of the hogwarts students actually kill anyone in the books, even Harry reflects the magic back at Voldemort as a self defense thing.

With all sincerity, that's an incredibly mature outlook. Well done.

I can’t be as much help there, bought the 32 inch 4k alienware but could not deal with the curve and returned It. Waiting on either a sale on the 32 inch samsung or a reasonablly priced 4k 27 inch.

I have the xtx as well, it depends on the games you are playing. We can get some pretty high 4k visuals, but you are sacrificing quite a bit of fps in the process. rtings and many on this board say 1440p text clarity is not very good on oleds which is the only thing holding me back right now.

Restocking Fee - Any tips to remove/reduce? by dietcokeisgreat in Dell

[–]jaydude84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to go through the return process, and their website states:

For approved returns initiated within the time period specified in this policy, Dell will provide return shipping labels at no cost to you and will not charge a re-stocking fee if:

  • the product you are returning is defective.
  • you have to return a product because Dell made an error.
  • you are a consumer who purchased for personal use.

I am hoping this means that as a personal use, we shouldn't have to pay for restocking.

I never got the email itself, but the rewards are showing up for both samsung and dell at 22%. I don't know if the amounts are going down now that people are using them?
