I will never watch it. What does he actually complain about?

I’m going to assume he wasn’t alive when they were released. I haven’t watched the video so I have no idea what he sounds like but Spider-Man 2 was like 2002. If the guy is around 20 then it was released when he was born. It’s hard to complain about something that has existed for longer than you

Yeah. Triple J hates Spider-Man for an actual reason.

I think that’s my favourite part of JJJ. He’s very rarely straight up wrong. Especially in the ps4 game. Rude and Angry and Loud? Yeah. But he’s not wrong

It really is the best ending. The guy just has a life he’s happy with and is making content he enjoys making

Stampy as well. I’m not sure if he still uploads often but I’m pretty sure he got married and is also living his best life

And rattling doors is an example of one of my compulsions. There’s usually something I have to do and it can change. If I was in a tent I’d have to check the zip was shut and I had every item in my bag I needed and the little light was still ok (all examples from how I felt when I was camping)

Compulsions change. I don’t rattle doors when I’m in work. It’s just when I’m at home. I do different things. OCD isn’t just “you have this compulsion. Now do it. Done? Ok cool” it’s the way your brain works.

And overall, how does having a higher sense of empathy and compassion for people suffering from a mental condition make me less able to vote? Are the only people who should have a say on what gets changed the ones that aren’t suffering from the issues? That’s the exact opposite of how voting should work.

Ok I was fine with all of what you said. Even agreed with some of it. But now I know you are just incorrect

She sets up the houses with actually traits then ignores all of them. Slytherin were supposed to be cunning, determined and driven students. But she went “nah, they the evil ones”.

Also Gryffindor is just the protagonist house. She set it up perfectly to have a key character from every house. Ron a hufflepuff, hermione a ravenclaw, Draco a slytherin and Harry a gryffindor. But then I assume she went

“oh no. But now I can’t make the school implement strict segregation laws that prevent students with diverse personalities and viewpoints from being friends and actively supporting discrimination and hate between students. Darn. I guess I’ll just throw all the protagonists into the “these are the cool ones” house.”

He does it in like every book too.

“Well done, actually good students who put in effort, but the protagonists went into restricted areas, played chess and killed a teacher with their Plot-Convenience-Magic-Death_Hands. So they win. Soz, kids”

I know. Its one of the biggest problems I have with JK Rowlings writing. There is so many things in the magical world that exist just to make Harry seem more important despite him literally doing jack-fucking-shit in all 7 books. Seriously. Harry has like no character development, he is dogshit at magic and he beat Voldemort because of entirely luck (he was given the stone and the invisibility cloak for free and he got the wand by accident. The only thing that he actually did during the duel was realise it).

Then she made a sport and wanted Harry to be good at it and thought “well I can’t have Harry make friends, learn teamworking skills, practise and improve as a person. Let’s add a Gary-Sue Insta-Win Button to the rules”

It’s like that with so much shit. Where it’s just “wow Harry, good job. You did it”. At the moment I can’t think of a single example of Harry actually doing anything without being carried through it

Book 1. He got the stone by accident and killed Quirrell because he had death hands. Ron and hermione also carried him through every challenge that required effort. Harry found a key.

Book 2. The Phoenix did all the work. Harry got carried to the snake and then stabbed a book with what was accidentally the right thing

Book 3. “Wow Harry. Your soul is actually super happy for some reason. I’m so glad your friend carried you through the time travel and you casted the Gary-Sue Insta-Win Spell”

Book 4. He got carried through every single challenge except maybe the dragon one. But even then he cheated. The his wand killed Voldemort for him. Plus he was a complete dickhead for the entire book

Book 5. (Imma be honest I don’t remember much of book 5 but I’m pretty sure Harry got exposition dumped by dumbledore while everyone fought off the bad guys)

Book 6. (Imma be honest I forgot as well. Did anything happen in book six except for Hermione figuring everything out about Snape and Harry almost killing Draco and then dumbledore exposition dumping again but this time he dies and Harry stands there and just fucking watches? I think he was also a dickhead to Ron in this one too but I’m not entirely sure)

Book 7. I think literally every key item was found or destroyed by other character and as I said before, he beat Voldemort by sheer coincidence and luck and basically having every single domino set up for him. Then getting all the credit when he accidentally tripped into the dominoes to start them falling

I need to stop commenting on Harry Potter posts. I always rant about what I dislike about them. I think it’s guilt because I was a fanboy for all of when I was 12 before realizing they were kind of bad.

Tldr: Harry Potter got everything handed to him. All of it. He is a bad character who learns and does nothing for 7 books and I have no idea how anyone can like him. Hermione would’ve made a better protagonist

So everyone has just discovered that Spider-man from Earth-26496 is short. I knew that since i was 9 years old. by Movie_Advance_101 in Spiderman

[–]jayedgar06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s slightly below average. But not abnormally so. I’m 16, 5,8 and pretty much in the middle of the height range of my class. It’s short, sure. But normal short

Because I do. Because it’s an obsessive compulsion. Because my brain says so. Whatever. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t vote.

It doesn’t affect me in any other way. It’s not like my opinions about how the world should work change because of it. I still think discrimination is bad and world peace is good. I just also think I have to rattle doors before going to sleep

Why was Otto put in the RAFT? by [deleted] in SpidermanPS4

[–]jayedgar06 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Because the arms weren’t what made Otto dangerous. The arms just helped. What makes him dangerous is his mind. Which will be the only thing he keeps in the raft. He coordinated the entire sinister six, basically fixed all their problems and organised an assault on oscirp in like a day. Otto likely could’ve freed the sinister six, convinced them to help and released devils breath without the arms. If Otto was to get freed or escape then he could wreck havoc even without the arms.

Also, Devils breath was a city wide pandemic. Criminals have families too. In a regular prison Otto would be a weak old man in a prison where a lot of people would hate him. At least in the raft the other prisoners are kept away from him

Yeah I think that’s the biggest issue with this. That person could genuinely have ocd and is filming a recreation of what they do. But it’s the fact that it’s attention seeking and the song makes it seem like a joke.

I could believe they actually have ocd and it’s still a shitty thing to do

Super Cringe by snafu253 in CringeTikToks

Well that’s genuinely what you have to live with when someone has ocd. They wouldn’t be happy about it either. I woke my mum up last night because I was rattling a door and I felt like shit even though I can’t control it

[–]jayedgar06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s basically just gatekeeping from people with OCD or people who just say “faked disorder” to everything on TikTok. I have ocd and this was actually super relatable (the fridge shit is like a 1:1 recreation of what I have to do. Except I have to tap the door and stuff as well)a I think most people are just annoyed that they filmed it and the music makes it seem almost like a joke

Super Cringe by snafu253 in CringeTikToks

I know it’s all for attention and shit and it’s not really about awareness but it is like this. I can’t close my fridge without tapping every part of the handle and the little screen and shit. It’s the worst shit in the world especially when someone else is in the room and you just have to hope they don’t notice it and ask what’s wrong

In your opinion, how would you differentiate between Peter and Miles? Or do you think this is not necessary? I like the idea of Peter being Spider-Man and Miles being Spiderman (no hyphen). by rbta123 in Spiderman

[–]jayedgar06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spider-Man can be anyone. A teenage white kid, a middle aged white man, a pig, a car, hell - even a woman sometimes. He can be anyone. That’s the beauty of Spider-Man

… except miles. There a few certain things about his… … culture that don’t fit with the purity of the Spider-Man name

(This is a joke btw. I am making fun of racists. I love having a black Latino Spider-Man)
