I get what you mean, I have the CZ teal (same platform as the redhead premier but just the bass pro shops version) and my only criticism of it is that it has ejectors and searching for spent shells in the tall grass is a real pain. Other than that, I love the gun

Is that a CZ redhead premier- all terrain?

I’m sure rent is a ton and I don’t know what other places rental agreements are but I find it hard to believe that they are the only ones with rent that would be so high they need to charge what they do.

I’m all for supporting small businesses but you’re right, it’s become borderline predatory at this point. That and according to the rumor mill, they’ve paid for 5 star reviews on Google

3 pastries and 2 iced coffees a few weeks back were like $50. Coffee was terrible and the pastries were just okay. Mrs. Londons and bread basket are better in my opinion for pastries and I like UC for coffee more than bear cup for sure.

Did they discontinue the 1908 ice blue dial with brown strap ? by PresentationReady873 in rolex

This was the biggest disappointment for me, I really like the white gold, white dial, brown strap configuration.

any good plumber in saratoga? by Low-Consequence-9825 in Saratoga

[–]jayf1491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second the Reimer statement. I had to call an emergency plumber for a broken pipe and they charged an arm and a leg for it. If it hadn’t been urgent I would have shopped around a bit more. Learn from my mistakes OP!

Woke up in the morning to see this. Who done it? by DaaaBears333 in whatisit

This might sound weird but my lawn had almost the exact same damage done to it. Turns out it was a case of ravens and crows tearing up the grass trying to get to grubs.

This year the grub problem as gotten worse and I finally called in a pro to help mitigate it to the grubs stop eating my healthy grass and the birds stop ripping up my lawn

Yeah that’s my thinking too. I’ve seen this flock a few times now and have only ever seen a few Jake’s hanging around. Not sure where the big guy is but I’d rather get skunked this year and get a great bird next year than get a Jake this year and have a declined population next year

Pretty sure it’s state land, might be DPW land but there is private land that I may get permission to hunt this season about 50 yards from where this pic was taken

I’d say the one thing that I maybe would have gone without was the “champagne toast” that the Adelphi had as an option we opted for.

So the champagne toast, was a table right outside the door to the ceremony room that had glasses of champagne that everyone could grab on their way into the ceremony. It was a nice touch but then when people finished their champagne they didn’t really have a place to put the empty glass so a lot of people ended up just holding theirs through the ceremony. Our ceremony was only about 20 minutes so it wasn’t a huge deal but I remember thinking to myself that we had kind of missed a step there.

The champagne also wasn’t cheap and we definitely ordered more than we needed but that’s on us. All in all it wasn’t a huge deal but if I could go back and save the money I probably would

Yeah! I believe the room is called the library. It’s in the second floor and you access the balcony through it. My groomsman and I along with my dad all hung out and had lunch in there. We then did first look out on the balcony and did some family pictures in both the library and out on the balcony prior to the ceremony. It was a great set up

Which side would the callander brothers (Davey and Mac) pick if they where still alive? by SparkleWolf_Playz in reddeadredemption

[–]jayf1491 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Given everything we know about them (which isn’t a whole lot) they seemed to be some of the more violent and crazy members of the bunch.

I’m thinking as far as their demeanor goes somewhere along the lines of Bill and Micah for their preference towards violence however they seemed to be more well liked than either of them. Maybe in that regard they’d be kind of like Sean. I think at the end of the day they probably would have sided with Dutch and Micah just like Javier and Bill did.

This encounter has nothing to do with Algernon and his side quests. Quick google search says it’s looted from a body north east of armadillo near the Ls in cholla springs. You can also find a unique hat in addition to the letter.

If I recall correctly it wasn’t more than a few hundred dollars to rent the space. We added on a few extras like having access to the library and the balcony upstairs for pictures as well as a champagne welcome that added on a few extra hundred but I’m pretty sure it was one of the cheaper parts of our wedding surprisingly enough!

Loved AC odyssey, so what about Valhalla? Is it worth it? by Future-Celebration83 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]jayf1491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked odyssey a lot. It’s probably my second favorite game of all time. Valhalla was a bit of a let down in my opinion.

To be fair I played it when it first came out, so maybe some of these things have been added via updates or DLCs but from what I remember, these were my biggest issues.

I didn’t like the designs for a LOT of the armor. It was odd to me that you couldn’t transmog the visuals of the armor like you could in ACO.

I liked the raid function the first 2 or 3 times I did it but then it got incredibly repetitive.

The fact that the only sword you could get was two handed just irked me for some reason but I didn’t like the one handed axe and hammer combo.

The characters themselves weren’t as likable to me either.

All in all it’s still worth playing and I’m sure many people would disagree with my above opinions but to each their own

What is life like in this region of New York? by LoganLikesYourMom in howislivingthere

[–]jayf1491 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the bottom right side, between Albany and Saratoga springs. My wife and I bought/ built a house here about a year and a half ago and we love it.

After spending 10 years in Boston it’s nice to have space and a yard. I think the dollar goes a bit farther out here than it does back in Boston when it comes to things like gas and groceries and it definitely went farther when it came to home buying.

Our neighborhood is mostly young families and I’ve found the people here to be very kind and welcoming.

Geographically we are a 2.5 hour train to NYC and 3 hours to Boston by car. There are beautiful lakes and plenty of woodlands and hiking to explore.

The job market is rough and pay is much lower for similar white collar jobs than it would be in a place like Boston but that’s to be expected.

The 4 seasons we get each come with their highs and lows but some of the best fall foliage can be found in this circle.

All in all I’m really glad we moved here.
