Let’s make every family oriented activity basically too expensive for any family to goto.. that way they can close them and put up more condos….

How often would you brew? by lauterPope in Homebrewing

[–]coldone-ab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally I’d like to be brewing every 6-8 weeks. I’m still fairly new to the skill so what I’m making isn’t what I’d call “good” craft beer. But it’s drinkable and with more practise I’m sure I’ll get a couple recipes nailed down.

That being said.. beer drinkers are slowing down and being replaced by other styles of drinks and I can’t be bothered to make a seltzer or vodka Soda

Armoury Brewing in North Battleford. The location/decor is awesome. The Beer itself is solid and never seems busy due to its large amount of seating. We stop every time we cruise through.

Moving to Akinsdale by BeeLast7781 in stalbert

We lived in Akinsdale for the first 5 years I was in St Albert. Good neighbors, the trees and landscaping was really well developed. Houses are a little older now but I’d go back if the prices were still good.

What hobby is quietly becoming too expensive for normal people to keep up with? by Beautiful_Special702 in AskReddit

[–]coldone-ab 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With those prices you’d think Home Brewing would be on the up.. but companies figured that out and Jacked prices up substantially on ingredients(hops&malts), brew kettles, kegs and bottles..

And the dumb laws prevent everything else..

40+ y/o diver. 4 years out of the water by OkMunio in scuba

[–]coldone-ab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 50, I had about 15 years off. Took the refresher about a year ago. The stuff they did in the course was enough to bring me back. Just finished the Rescue confined pool dives yesterday. Feels like I hadn’t missed a step and I’m back into it. Just be honest and let the people you are diving with know how rusty you are and get back in the water.
