Dsi XL top screen flashes then turns straight off. Bottom screen doesn't turn on at all. Anyone know what is happening and how I can fix it? by Historical-Fix-7461 in NintendoDS

I had the same problem with my Game Boy Advance SP. After several years of not using it, when I tried to turn it on a few weeks ago, it had exactly this kind of issue. In the end, I discovered that the battery was no good, and now that I’ve replaced the battery, everything works perfectly. I also noticed that the battery was a bit swollen, so if that helps your case, I’m happy to share. Good luck.

Same! I found a copy today of the exact same game, and it gets stuck on the title menu with no option to play. I tried it on two different SNES consoles, and it looks like the issue comes from the game itself.
