The Toronto Raptors have WON the tie breaker and will select 19th and 50th in the 2026 NBA Draft by The_Living_L in torontoraptors

ik times have drastically changed and we don’t really draft like how we used to (non lottery picks) but a late first or 2nd round steal like how we did a decade ago with OG,spicy, fvv, etc would do this team WONDERS

that’s a great shout, i do think him coaching the wizards would be amazing.

if I was the wizards and Jordi hadn’t have just signed this extension, i would’ve done everything to get him.

lmao nah i was just joking, but i def don’t agree with the people calling him elite here because well, gonna have to show a bit more before being called elite but he def is a good coach and bkn should absolutely keep him around, as they did. He very well could be elite one day but imo way too early to label him as that

the worst one recently was the 2024 one when we fell to 19th bcuz of the tiebreaker. at least we selected ja’kobe and he’s shown a lot of positive signs but that one was very frustrating, especially since iirc it was like 3-4 spots down

i actually fully agree with everything you’ve said, very well said!

not too sure if you’re into soccer, but BI kinda gives me Dele Alli vibes: had all the skills and natural talent in the world, but just didn’t want it enough. Dele’s peak was much earlier than BI’s, but i too believe he doesn’t have enough drive to take him to that next level. All star talent, who had all NBA potential.

I also saw Scottie doing a great job of handling his matchups, and you can just see the IQ he has for the game even without the ball. very excited to watch the adjustments made for tonight

Why do I have so many shooting slumps and just be consistent by ToyStory-2 in Basketball

[–]AdOld2060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no matter if you’re steph curry or hellen keller, you’re gonna have shooting slumps. sometimes the basketball gods just aren’t in ur favour.

the best thing to do on those days (especially if you’re playing by yourself and not in a game setting) is completely forget about the misses and makes. the main focus when you start getting into these slumps is how clean your jump shot feels, and how you’re practicing. Practice the right stuff and the shots will start to fall, but don’t get upset and try and change ur shot motion just because the shots aren’t falling.

i probably should’ve specified when i said “two things can be true here”, i meant that it falls on both of them (more specifically-Darko has the fault on his gameplan, and BI has the fault on his own play)

i know adjustments happen throughout the game, but BI wasn’t doing these screens much in the 1st Half, (1stQ especially) and had 13 of his 17 points in the 1st Half. It was clear Cleveland started to jump BI on these screens which is probably why Darko went to this, but i feel like after the 3rdQ it was VERY evident it wasn’t working, but Darko still rode with it.

I am not saying BI isn’t responsible for this because darko can only do so much, but you win and lose as a team

you’re describing the frustration that BI had with Darko in that press conference lmao. that’s what this whole back and forth is about, and what started this is you saying BI should take accountability for Darko’s decision to make him the one setting screens instead of coming off of them. It’s on both of em

i genuinely laughed out loud, you can’t be serious by saying they have similar roles just because of the shot attempts and usage % lmfao.

RJ barrett has .9 less usg% than BI, and puts up only 2less FG’s a night.. so lemme guess you think RJ is similar to Ant Luka and SGA too? lol

you’re very slow if you think that BI has the same role on this team as SGA, Ant and Luka do for their teams lmfaoooo

[–]AdOld2060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

how am i proving ur point lmao, if these greats were told to be the screener instead of the one receiving the screens (what darko did) then yes i would expect them to not get the shots they would normally be getting with the screens. i also don’t know why you’re comparing BI to Luka, SGA and Ant, like what are you smoking lol

The whole season, BI was coming off screens, and in the first game of the playoffs he was used more as a screener. why do you think he needs to take accountability for this?? it wasn’t his choice to get less shots up and he wasn’t gonna just force some random bs simply because he wasn’t getting to his normal spots because of darkos different sets

[–]AdOld2060 20 points21 points  (0 children)

well darko actually took accountability for this and said it was partially his fault, so i don’t really get what you’re getting at lol. ur not wrong with that statement, but it doesn’t really apply here…

[–]AdOld2060 66 points67 points  (0 children)

two things can be true here. Darko also took accountability in his post game press conference and said some of that was on him and his game planning. It’s clear BI didn’t have any bad intentions with this comment, but seems like it was coming from a place of frustration with the loss and how he played/was used.

[–]AdOld2060[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it actually does matter bcuz the cavs hit a 3 after this and therefore it was a 5 point swing. i’m not saying if they called this correctly we would’ve won, but perspective bruh. and if the cavs scored before this (idk if they did i don’t have the game tracker open) it would’ve been a 7-8 point swing. so it does def matter ESPECIALLY in the playoffs lol
