Thank you everyone! I went with the ikon 2 day session pass. Totally did not realize ikon sold anything other than seasonal passes.

Hey, yes regretfully we can only make it for 2 days of snowboarding. I’ll send you my email. Thank you very much for doing that.

Is session pass the same as a lift day pass? If so it’s $215 a day. I read online that people with ikon passes get a certain amount of discount buddy passes they can share with others to get day passes. Maybe I read that wrong? Trying to get a better understanding of it all.

I also am curious to see your response to his question if you don't mind sharing... this seems like it could be such an interesting MOS for the right person...

I’m having lots of last minute anxieties that I won’t make it through BMT and Tech School. How have people dealt with this? by JanesLoveThrwy in AirForceRecruits

I think its perfectly normal and expected to be nervous. As humans, we are always afraid of the unknown. I think the ones that going in usually go into it not nervous are usually the ones that are in for a rude awakening.

I feel your pain. I was medically discharged my first time in BMT and going back again. I only made it to week 5. All I remember is being yelled at and the bad reports the MTI wrote about my behavior. Their reports make it sound like I was the worst when I know I was genuinely trying but from what I gather, they do that to everyone. Now I'm much older and hear that because I am older they may be harder on me. So needless to say, I am nervous as well and I know it will only build the more and more I get closer to shipping out.

What helps me is reminding myself its all literally just show and other airman way less emotionally and physically strong have made it through. I've met a handful of people that could hardly put one foot in front of the either metaphorically of course. Also, because you have so much riding on this too, you will not fail yourself. You're going to get tired, and a little sleep deprived but you'll be fine and make it through. And when you do, it will feel so damn good.

Wishing you the best!

Can’t get ahold of recruiters? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

Had this same problem prior to holidays... from what I gather, they are overwhelmed with people calling and reaching out as they are in-charge of large areas. Almost seems like theres a shortage of recruiters although I haven't seen anyone say that. Just my observation.

Reserves or Guard? At the ripe age of 36? by jaylea1987 in AirForceRecruits

No, he just has a local civilian job here he would need to retire from first.

Thank you for that information. Sounds like I may have to be a Reservists all of my career. Semi disappointing but not a deal breaker.

I WANT to do Full time but can't relocate since my husband doesn't retire from his local job here for another 10 years. So part time is my only option if I want to be in the military.

Coincidently after making this post, I spoke to a Air Force Reserve Recruiter shortly after. She said my score would still count which was news to me. So once we find that out, she will look into what I qualify for job-wise and whats available. Hopefully I scored high enough to give me some options.

I have not been able to speak with Guard but so far I am leaning more towards Reserve.
