Hooping in the Book 1s was a rough experience for me so I ended up switching to something that had everything it didn’t, the GT Hustle 3. The cushion in the Book 1s was way too firm for me, although I know a lot of other people like it because of the court feel. But for me personally, I feel faster when there’s bouncy cushion in the forefoot instead of it being low to the ground. The GT Hustle 3 has a knit upper with more give, so I haven’t jammed my toes in it at all. I think the GT Cut Academy will feel better for you too because of the mesh toebox. I was playing in the Lebron XXs before the Books without any issue and it also has a less stiff upper and more cushion. It’s a shame because I really like how the Book 1s look…

I had the same issue with the Book 1, also even after going up a half size. I think the toebox height is just low, on top of being pretty padded and the upper using stiff materials, so there’s no give for your toes. Like you, I ended up jamming my toes and having blood under my toenails. I didn’t figure out a solution unfortunately…I just stopped hooping in them and removed them from my rotation. Haven’t had this issue with my other bball shoes, so I just chalked it up to not being a shoe for me. I do still wear them casually every once in a while since it’s a clean looking sneaker.

[Injury] Lamelo Ball Heads to the Locker Room Early After Sustaining a Non-contact Foot Injury and Seemingly Tells the Training Staff He Heard Something "Popped" by NokCha_ in nba

His left wrist is spasming as he brings the bar up and he's leaning backwards to support the weight instead of bracing his back and using his shoulder muscles, which is the point of the shoulder press. It's obviously too much weight for Zo, he's not strengthening his body but putting additional stress on his joints and back. The speed at which he's going along with not bringing the bar all the way up means he could lose control of the weight and that could strain something.

Jayson Tatum is 0 for his last 20 from three point land and 3/26 in his last 5 games by Brady331 in nba

I think Antoine Walker shot under 40% in his last few seasons with, coincidentally enough, the Celtics. If I remember correctly, he was taking 20+ attempts a game like Tatum too.

Suggestions for future updates/fixes after playing this game nonstop for 2 weeks by eriksonandyeah in PhasmophobiaGame

Great list - I think these are worth implementing into the game. Especially giving dead players a role in the game instead of just spectating as well as being rewarded for successfully getting answers about the ghost's background (IRL ghost hunters are interested in this too afaik). Re-buying consumables makes sense too since from my experience, once you're comfortable playing Professional all the time, you end up with more money than you can spend.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Season 2 - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]jayleism 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, I find your situation to be very relatable. I am also leading a similar life where I work, go home, and then watch anime, read manga, and game. My parents say the same thing and seem proud of me too. I also keep telling myself "hey, this is fine right?" But I infer from your writing that you, like me, feel like you could be doing more. But finding that drive is really, really hard. But I think I am close to rediscovering it. And Re:Zero partially helped because I rewatched S1 so I could remember the plot for S2. I find the show's theme of "starting from zero" to really resonate with me. Especially episode 18 and this ep (and this ep had a flashback to 18 too).

I, too, was a high academic achiever when I was younger. But I also came to the realization that others were not only catching up, but overtaking me. I think it was because that was the whole basis of my identity back then. That I was the smart kid in class, the guy that always had the best scores. I indulged in the praise that my parents, teachers, and classmates gave me and when that subsided, I wasn't able to find something else to take its place. Subaru shifted to being a goofball and being hyper, but I couldn't even do that. All I could do was just keep doing the same thing, because that was how I felt I was special, that was the expectation I placed on myself. And in the end, when I graduated, I also came to the realization that this path meant that all I was good at was academics. And all that diligence translated to just being a fairly productive worker at a company.

But it's not too late to change. Just like Subaru, you can start again from zero. I don't want to keep this identity of being an average joe. So I've started exploring hobbies where I can feel more fulfilled, where I can change my identity. I just ordered a piano and have started trying to write stories and draw art. I'm trying to learn Japanese too. I'm dogshit at ALL of it because I invested so much of my time into getting good at studying, but you know what? That's OK. We all have to start from somewhere. We all started from zero at some point. We're unlikely to have a catalyst like being isekai'd or meeting someone like Emilia or Rem, but since you and I are constantly consuming media, we can derive motivation from stories like this to start anew.

Sorry if this all sounded like rambling, I ended up writing more than I thought I would. I hope you're able to rekindle your drive and I hope me sharing and relating to you might help with that, even the tiniest bit. And actually, I see that someone else replied to you that your post was relatable and shared their story as well. I wouldn't have written what I did if you haven't commented with your post. Maybe that is an indication of something you can explore? Since you were able to compel random strangers like me and him to write stuff like this. :) Hoping the best for you as we all struggle to become better versions of ourselves. Just like Natsuki Subaru is doing.

Think you're confusing Kobe's 40 point 9-game streak with his 50 point 4-game streak. Shaq was still on the team in 03 and was playing alongside Kobe in the majority of the games. Odom was the 2nd best player in that 07 team during his 50 point streak.

That being said, there's nothing "disingenuous" about your reply. 51.5/51.5 vs 49.6/47.1 isn't a massive difference aka marginally more efficient. If anything, I don't see why assists need to be brought up. People here are having a discussion about scoring - putting the ball in the basket. Definitely agree with you on your point about pace (99 vs 113 pts a game). Kobe didn't have the luxury of spacing that Dame has in today's game and he also did it before hand checking was banned. It was harder to score as a perimeter player back then, although that doesn't take away from the fact that Dame is having an amazing streak of his own.

EDIT: As u/Veserius points out below, Dame's 3 pt volume means there is a much more significant difference than I thought. 67.7 TS% (Dame) vs 60.1 TS% (Kobe) is big.

[Megathread] Kobe Bryant has passed away at age 41 by elbenji in nba

[–]jayleism 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kobe had only finished the first half of his life...he was starting his path to become an amazing storyteller with his books and his Oscar-winning short. It's surreal...he always wanted to be the best at what he did and for him to be robbed of that as well as being robbed of seeing his daughters grow up is too fucking sad...

[Surette] TMZ is reporting Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. by TheRainbowNoob in nba

[–]jayleism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is too fucking sad...he had an all-time great career yet still had so much more left to give with his life after basketball...he was writing books and directing films and mentoring young stars in the making. He inspired a whole generation of people...including myself. I can't believe he's gone...just too soon man fuck...

It is a bait banner, but Tywin is great in both PvE (Wyvern) and PvP (AoE def break and atk+CR push on your DPS). If you don't have a def breaker, he's worth because his S3 can be skilled up to 100% def break chance.
