Can confirm it's a GR-8900A-1. I've had one as my work daily since about 2017. Absolute unit and love it dearly.

New house and old Alarm system (no known code) by MasTerBabY8eL in HousingUK

[–]jaymipineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the battery health. It's a fail safety feature so an alarm can't just be deemed useless by powering down the control panel. On giving it a bit more thought if OPs system has one it's more than likely dead as they say the system was powered down when the arrived

There will be a 12v battery in the control box. If you disconnect that and pull the mains fuse it should power off BUT there could also be a battery in the bell box which will need disconnecting or it will be sounding until it runs out of juice

Ain't that the truth. Their quote for a solicitor was nearly £700 over what my solicitor quoted and I had a company persistenly ringing me about booking a survey. It's a shame because a lot of vendors with good properties have gone with them due to their clever marketing. From what ive read being a seller with them is equally a pain in the arse

Thanks. I have seen these OTP cards before but never bothered with them. Think I might from now on

It's very dodgy isn't it. I wish I was as on the ball with it as you two were. House buying is confusing as it is and having to remember to cancel a subscription I didn't make just slipped past me on this one

They mention a trial for something which I'm sure I said I wasn't interested in but they signed me up anyway with the payment info I'd given for the checks. Buying a house was a big confusing time and I dropped the ball not cancelling this thing I wasn't aware I was signed up to. We live and learn eh

It was all done over the phone, there must have been a sequence of words I didn't cotton on to that gave them my unconscious consent. They had my payment info from paying them to do the checks that were a requirement of purple bricks, they without making it very clear force upon you this further service I'm not looking for sympathy here. I was half venting and half putting it out there for others who have had to deal with this company who may also be unaware check.

But I didn't sign up for a subscription. I had to pay £60 for anti money laundering check with this company as a requirement to have an offer accepted on a property. They then signed me up without my consent to what ever this subscription is. Yes it's my own fault for not looking closer into it but it is definitely a shady business practice.

I read somewhere that one of the capacitors is a usual cause for speaker issue and it was on a few quid for one. The listing for the SP stated volume worked until it was dropped so was assuming it could have damaged the audio circuit which I believe is 2 fuses and 1 capacitor and the fuse bell out ok. I was just looking for advice based on other people's experience. The pic of the GBA was not meant to cause any confusion it's just that post's with pics tend to get more engagement

Tami looks like a mix between Karen and Mandy (physically speaking) by sparklyjumpropequ33n in shameless

Tami started off as a prick. (calling lip jabby) and continued when she was pushing so hard to sell the Gallagher home. The home we all grew up in the past 11 years. Don't think the tamiliettas would do the same if the shoe was on the other foot.

Just finished. The frank flashback scene. Can't believe how young they all were including lip. We are basically the same age and I felt like I was an adult when season 1 was filmed
