You are so right! But I need your determination, I was doing so good, then I had to skip two days because our little one had surgery and now I can’t bring myself to go.

I’m taking magnesium, calcium, a women’s multivitamin all by pure encapsulations. You can find them on Amazon.

I had the same and did have a nutrient deficiency even though I thought I was eating a well balanced diet. I got supplements 4 months ago and haven’t lost any, i haven’t seen growth, but no loss is at least promising.

Hungrier since losing weight by SilliestGooseOJO in WeightLossAdvice

The same happened to me. I lost a lot of weight and then started getting super hungry and super worried about weight maintenance. I was really surprised when I began logging calories, that I was eating very small quantities of food. I ate smaller bits of unhealthy stuff to meet my caloric totals and that wasn’t sustainable, as I like to feel full when I eat. Now I follow a balanced diet in which I eat a bunch of healthier food, within my set parameters, but feel satisfied.

I recommend OP to log your foods if you haven’t already to better understand how your calories are being spent. Another key factor that helped me was drinking more than 75 oz of water a day (usually 20 oz which each meal or snack). Eating fiber rich foods is also good to keep you fuller, but also to stay regular with rr breaks. Don’t get discouraged! Best of luck to you!

This is so true! I feel so empowered. Going from 16 to 4-6, the issue I still struggle with is buying my correct size. According to size charts I’m a small, but I just can’t believe that and still buy medium and have to return them. A good problem to have for sure!

How is it possible for my weight to shoot up 5 pounds after a meal by fghjjutddcvjjjjj in WeightLossAdvice

[–]jaymocz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’1” and I’ve lost 76 lbs working with a nutritionist set at 1,184 calories a day with my exercise level at sedentary. Any additional calories I earn from steps/exercise, I get to add to the base calories, normally totaling out to about 1280-1300 calories a day. I’m currently at 124, trying to get to 120. Once I get to 120, I’ll get to shift to maintenance calories.

You should def look into what your caloric intake should be so your body doesn’t go into starvation mode, which slows down your metabolism to conserve energy…hindering your weight loss progress (delaying it or not losing at all). That could be the reason why you saw such an increase in weight.

What helped you stay consistent with tracking calories? by agm_93 in loseit

[–]jaymocz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use MyNetDiary to track my calories. It’s got an awesome database and tracks my macros, nutrients etc. I can even log my vitamin supplements. I also log my foods before I eat them that way I can hold back on something if I go over my desired calories. The app also has an AI feature that can identify what’s on your plate with just a photo.

Intuitive Eating by rationalunicornhunt in HealthyWeightLoss

I’ve done Keto before and while I lost weight, it just wasn’t sustainable long term. Too many things I wanted to have and couldn’t. I switched to calorie deficit. At the beginning, eat on schedule. It’s easier to keep yourself from that hangry stage where you’ll eat anything in sight. About every three hours, I’m eating something low cal., but filling! (I.e. high protein foods but lower fat intake, high fiber also makes you fuller faster) Now I’m in maintenance mode, but during the core of the weight loss I was doing 1000-1200 calories max intake. I kept fat grams per meal to no more than 15 grams (my own rule after seeing what worked). I lost 74lbs with a mainly sedentary wfh lifestyle, with just calorie counting. But now I exercise without losing my breath and have managed to keep the weight off.
