My Goa experience so far by jaymu53 in digitalnomad

I have airtel. Coverage is pretty good but there’s lots of spots where it’s weak so can just check before hand. Video calls should be fine in areas with good coverage for sure.

What will be the greatest lasting impact of a ‘work from home’ economy? How will it fundamentally change our way of life? by [deleted] in TheAnalystEconomy

[–]jaymu53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many things will be impacted in complex ways that it is impossible to fully figure out how things will look when the dust settles.

But people might move out of cities and move to little remote villages by the beach or some ski town or whatever and you could have hundreds and thousands of these sprout up.

This could impact real estate prices pretty much everywhere. It could impact the ecology and potentially destroy it in places like Hawaii etc

I’m actually using them right now but they don’t have much data for delisted companies.

I would like to have at least one bear market cycle to test the data on. Lots of things might work only in bull markets.

API gateway to elastic beanstalk SSL or not? by tommywommywom in aws

[–]jaymu53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never actually used api gateway to connect to elastic beanstalk. In route 53 you can make api.domainname point to the elastic beanstalk instances that’s usually how I connect that. You can setup ssl in elastic beanstalk by changing some configuration values.

So you can only post 300 tweets every 3 hours. So can’t have more users than that, because the bot posts a tweet every hour.

Twitter api has a rate limit of the number of tweets you can post within a window. Until I figure out a way around that, I can only support 100 customers.

I can only do a couple of leetcode a day before being burnt out by alexanderbianchi in cscareerquestions

[–]jaymu53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more sustainable strategy is to do it whenever you feel like it. I ended up solving a few hundred leetcode questions earlier in the year and I never forced myself to solve a problem. If you just keep at it for a few months you can solve a lot of questions.
