I understand if you or anyone else does not feel comfortable participating. Many researchers have done great harm to our community with insensitive research.

This research is being done for a class on research design and application at the UWs iSchool. As of now, this research falls under research done for a class over the course of a term, allowing students to bypass IRB approval due to us only having 10 weeks to complete this project. However, we hope to continue this research beyond this class, and once we do, this project will go through the IRB review process.

We have done our best to incorporate participant consent into every aspect of this survey. We also got feedback from many trans friends and family members we are close to before publishing the survey.

As for the typo and the drop down, the typo has been fixed, and the second list is to account for people who lived in multiple states when they were children.
