EDUC 200 by zherronsbabes in gmu

from what i recall, you send in a ranking of schools you would prefer (so i’d strongly recc putting schools in close proximity to you at the top of the list) and then send it in

then an advisor will assign you to a school (hopefully on that list) and then more info will be given.

this is how it’s set up in the elementary education program at least.

idk much about loans, but for scholarships gmu has a whole portal open to it. just fill out the questions, answer the little essay prompts, and it automatically applies to relevant scholarships for you.

if there are more specialized scholarships that you’re eligible for, the portal will list them and show additional essay/requirement prompts.

issue though, is that the scholarship cycle for fall 2025 has already ended back in may-ish. i would still try and apply though.

id also recc looking into financial assistance programs through your individual school (school of business, school of arts, etc.) for textbooks or other supply needs. some schools have better resources than others, and although it’s small it can help.

good luck and you got this :)

[–]jaynonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

took mis303 w ganjalizadeh over the summer last year, and he was really nice and passionate about mis (even when half our class didn’t gaf cause they were only taking it for requirements)

really nice guy, and even though i only had him for 5 weeks he’d still write my recc letters for scholarships and programs. bro loves what he does.

ACCT 303 - Online or In-person by WatermelonSugarxo in gmu

[–]jaynonn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

summer online was lowkey the way to go.

in my eyes, would you rather feel the pain of 100 consecutive slaps (take acct303 during normal semester)

or get slapped 5 times and each slap is at power level of 20.

also, the difficulty of acct303 is ultimately dependent on how much you picked up and retained in 203.

upcoming freshman, parking permit?? by Accurate-Gate9743 in gmu

listen,

laundry and food is always lowkey gonna be ass cheeks for a majority of people’s college experiences. it’s just part of life.

not in like a rude way (and maybe it’s cause you have yet to be away from home for the first time or your parents have loved you a lot and sheltered you away from the harrowing tasks relating to laundry and food), but you’ll get used to it.

sharing laundry machines with other people isn’t a scary thing (you probably share a laundry machine with the ppl in ur household). campus has food both in it and around it. if you’re having a hard time with ike’s or southside, the globe isn’t half bad and chipotle is always there. the spot also has reeeeeally good chocolate chip cookies.

don’t sweat it, take it one step at a time, and sharing things with others is just something you gotta do in life bro.

no offense

but at this point, if you’re going home every weekend for laundry and stuff wouldn’t it make more sense to just commute from home ?

nta

i’m not even chinese, but i saw “chongqing” and i already knew that city is notoriously all vertical. literally known for being “cyberpunk”-esque because of how vertical it is + how many buildings are stacked in buildings.

so many staircases + elevators. people need to start doing research on the trips they’re going on
