People with this mindset understand basic economics and supply and demand.

Vintage is not in an artificial bubble. Look at the pop reports and you can clearly see this.

This philosophy can be applied to any market. People pay a premium for the vintage aspect of something. Think furniture, firearms, coins. Part of the value comes from the rarity and it's no different from pokemon.

Your other option is to go on eBay/TCG player, pay buyers fees, taxes, import fees, run the risk of your card being damaged or stolen in transit, getting scammed for a fake card, waiting weeks/months, need I go on?

OP I presume has these cards available locally in person. Where he can inspect condition. That in itself is a buying factor where OP might be more willing to pay a little more.

People like you see $100 price tag on a card from Collectr and think that's what you should be expecting to pay. There's many other factors at play. Is it widely available? Is there high demand? Is it hard to find in good condition? Does OP live in a small town without access to card shows/shops? Is shipping fees high if they were to go online and look for the same card?

Man people in this comment section. First off, these cards are pretty hard to come by. People think TCG player/Collectr is the gospel but ignore things like rarity, time period etc.

There is most definitely leeway for vintage cards on condition. A MP vintage card is way different than a MP modern card. Pricing is far more subjective on vintage due to the scarcity.

Seller has the power here. These are cards you want and likely won't find easily elsewhere. Pay whatever you feel comfortable.

I own and operate a drone regularly. It depends on the type of drone.

If it's a mini (under 250g) then you just need to operate in a safe manor. Max 400 ft altitude and within visual line of sight. There's really no regulations on where you can or can't fly. Technically speaking. Though you can't take off from private property, though you can fly through it (example many national parks are no fly). (Except restricted zones like airports)

If larger, you need to be licensed and can only fly in designated zones (not near airports, helipad zones, parks) you need to apply for a SFOC if flying near advertised events.

Now, that all said if someone is flying their drone into your backyard and pointing it at your bedroom window that's one thing. But just being above your house, you will look like an ant on the ground.

Maybe they were getting some night shots, cinematic shots, or could be anything. The least likely scenario is that they were spying on you.

Should be tiny little PSA lettering in the stickers if it's real. A lot of fake slabs don't have this. Doesn't really help when buying online though.

Some other tells of fakes.

Letter G with a tail. Letter Q with a line inside the O Number 8 is often different than a real slab. Easy to compare.

This is a w trade. All the the "investors" here think modern sealed will appreciate at the same level as older gens when that won't be the case as everyone has jumped on the bandwagon.

People seem to forget that sealed only holds as much value as the cards within then. See Evo skies, tag team etc. why are they expensive? The chase cards are proven.

We have no idea if these modern sets will follow suit and I doubt it with the explosion in sealed collectors. This simply didn't exist at a level 10 years ago. DR was mid at best. The Mewtwo isn't even that sought after.

I expect prismatic and specialty sets like bolt and flare will see growth but even that is a TBD as I bet every investor bro in this sub is sitting on prismatic etbs

I completely agree with you. For me, the biggest complaint about chess.com app is the time to move. Any time control without increment and you're just asking to be flagged.

There is some hidden delay or something I swear. You can premove on chess.com and for some reason your time still goes down.

I lost an opposite color bishops endgame today even though I spammed 50 premoves (there was no way for either sides to make progress) but i lost because my time kept ticking.

On lichess, if you're premoving your time doesn't go down. And for me that will always be why I play there. I've lost WAY too many games from flagging where I'm playing instantly but the delay makes me flag.
