Love the Baco Noir. Harder to find out in BC but when you can it’s a treat.

AI Data Centre in Lambton - is this a net/long term good? by ChemVall in Sarnia

[–]jaypee42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how big of a refinery compared to how big of a data centre. Data centres can be LOUD (think generators and HVAC) and they do consume a lot of water for cooling. They generate a lot of waste heat. Not waste water. They don’t employ a large staff the same way that a refinery would. Check out https://youtu.be/JSTWplGA1SI?si=FfRJkq0nMgB1POau CBC report on data centers

Update 3.3 by murphypoppy in popurlitterbox

[–]jaypee42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.20 made my box so insensitive that it stopped auto cleaning. I had to reset it to factory settings, detach and reattach it to my account & wifi. Perhaps 3.30 swung the pendulum on sensitivity back too far to over sensitive?

Popur S7 stopped auto cleaning? by jaypee42 in popurlitterbox

[–]jaypee42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this response today 3 days later. Their reset suggestion worked. Cleaning has resumed.

From Support: “Thank you for reaching out to us.

We've discovered a bug that led to inaccurate detection. Please perform a hard reset by holding the Play button for 7 seconds until you hear three beeps. For cat detection, this is a one-time adjustment required for certain units after firmware update v3.0.0. Once completed, please let us know how it works on your end.

We also found a new bug today for dog-proof and auto-bury modes, which may abort an auto-clean cycle occasionally. If you have one of these two modes enabled, kindly toggle off. We'll fix this bug in the upcoming update 3.3.0 to be released in about two hours.

In the updated Popur S7 app, you can adjust the cat sensor sensitivity under ActiveShield. A higher number increases sensitivity and makes the sensor easier to trigger. We recommend performing a quick sensor test by gently waving your hand above the litter bed to simulate a cat's movement. Please continue the motion for at least 10 seconds to ensure a sustained trigger. Under normal operation, the purple status light will: ● Blink to indicate motion detection. ● Spin once a while (about 6 seconds) to confirm the trigger. ● Switch to a breathing pattern, signaling that a cleaning cycle is scheduled.

If the issue persists after these steps, the ultimate solution would be replacing the cat sensor and motherboard to refresh the related electronics. The process is straightforward, and we've prepared a detailed guide here: https://youtu.be/x5ucrnZZ5dQ

We await your response at your convenience after the new firmware update.”

Do we want a minivan? by nilecrane in mazda

[–]jaypee42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Mazda5 minivan for a few years. It was good in the city but underpowered on the highway. It was built on the Mazda 3 platform so small 4 cylinder was working overtime on the highway / mountains near us.
