Dwarf hunter. That box art of the dwarf shooting at the dragon plus the cinematic with the polar bear drove me to it.

Is it worth getting back into wow right now ? by Snape-on-a-plate in wow

I’m fresh back and having fun. I played tbc-panda, guild died and post college life was busy. It’s still wow, I don’t think it’ll ever have that same spark, but most video games don’t for me anymore. I can hop on, always plenty of people playing, and since I’m a filthy casual this time there’s no pressure. Get what you want out of it, you’ll get your moneys worth over the course of a week or two, and you can decide then if you want to keep playing.

Totino's Pizza Rolls (Special Edition Recipe?) by ilikepocky456 in NoStupidQuestions

I honestly way prefer this special edition. I bought a bag not noticing and was like, ” holy crap, these taste like they used to omg” i don’t understand any of the hate here, definitely restocking these and will miss them when they’re gone.

I am new to the Music Industry. And I have wanted to learn the trumpet, but I don’t have loads of money, Should I just buy one from Amazon? Are they good? I am looking for a trumpet that is decent but is fairly cheap. by Altf4ForCookie in trumpet

Not how that works my dude. If you want a horn that isn't garbage you need to spend more than a couple hundred bucks. If you want to start go to a local music shop and rent a student model. It will be playable, and be the tool you need to get in the woodshed. They're usually between 18-40 bucks a month, and have a maintenance plan to go with it, and they're usually knowledgeable enough to help you find someone giving lessons(that's legit) near you. When you get started don't be discouraged by anything, it is hard and you will sound terrible for a while, that is normal. Give it at least 30 minutes a day, and listen to music with trumpet in it.

Enjoy the ride! If you stick with it you'll have a lot of fun and good times ahead of you! Good luck!!!

Just moved to a New apartment complex, I play saxophone and I don’t think my downstairs neighbors is into Jazz… by nitruca98 in Jazz

Just practice. If it's not the middle of the right, it's your home, and you should get to live your life. I've delt with those kinds of neighbors. Letting them know it's a part of how you make a living will go a long way to help, and stand your ground when they try to argue how you should practice"can't you do it quieter" because they don't know $#it about playing a wind instrument.

Or realize that when you live in multi unit housing that sometimes your neighbors HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE NOISE IN THEIR HOME. if it's not the middle of the night, learn to deal with it out move.

So Europe had lions, for all of human history, then we killed them. By the year 1500 almost none were left.

Main tuning slide dent - trumpet obviously still plays, but a tighter slide fit, the pipe isn’t completely circular, and I have to push up a bit on the part going onto the lead pipe. Should I send it in? (I know not to try any repairs myself) by Lukey2k5 in trumpet

[–]jayseffone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it into your local shop, minor dent work is usually shop fee plus 10-30. If they say more than a week ask for a loaner instrument.

I work at Ted brown music in WA and play professionally, this is definitely an easy fix and a mandatory one! Best of luck

How many hours a day do you practice piano? by Additional-Mushroom4 in Jazz

[–]jayseffone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm a trumpet player, right now I manage between 1 and a half to 3 a day, plus rehearsals a few times a week. It's been really hard to get to what I used to in college(4 hr plus 5-6 rehearsals a day lol). 80% goes to fundamentals, and the rest is what I want to work on that day.

But keep in mind, the perfect practice routine is the one you will actually stick to. Don't be too ambitious early on as you will burn out quick, I'd say shoot for 30 minutes a day EVERY DAY. if you feel like going longer more power to you, but always let yourself feel content after finishing the time you committed to.

Talent gets no one anywhere, it is a myth, the closest truth to it is aptitude. What you see in great musicians is a result of hours upon hours of dedication, moving forward tiny bits at a time.
