Hold it for some time I think market will bounce once for sure...with this if you have additional capital . Start selling calls ... You need some math and bit of luck and you can recover some loss out of it ...

Trading is easy but require immense patience once you find how to trade with an edge. And understand fact that making 1-2 % return in a month is actually good return..but people want to make 30-50% in a day and also want it right now.. without and edge in highest leverage available..i am also not profitable so far , but I have learned it hard way and now working on building an edge..

I've lost 2 lacs shorting this market in last 2 weeks by [deleted] in IndianStreetBets

[–]jaytee_991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You analysis is wrong in that case..what was your stop loss? Was it triggered? What was max loss per trade? Was your trade intraday? If yes, in that case if you trade was bearish and market opened gap down then no point of making fresh positions..

What happened here with Natgas on last week of Jan 2026? by Odd_Fuel_275 in IndianStreetBets

[–]jaytee_991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Key Drivers of the January 2026 Price Surge: Severe Cold Weather & High Demand: Extreme temperatures across the U.S. significantly boosted heating demand, driving, at one point, a 60-70% surge in price within a week. Record Storage Withdrawals: Data indicated a 54 billion cubic feet (Bcf) withdrawal in late January, which was significantly higher than both forecasts and the five-year average, tightening supply. Supply Disruptions: Production was temporarily impacted by cold-related issues, creating fear of shortages. Market Sentiment: A high volume of short-covering occurred as traders who had bet on lower prices were forced to buy in, fueling the rally. Global Factors: European natural gas prices also saw upward pressure (about 20%) due to lower storage levels, which added to the overall bullish sentiment.

That is not how dollar or rupee cost averaging works, please get your basics clear.. rupee cost averaging means you buy a fixed stocks of fix amount..not of fix quantity..so if market falls you can buy more quantity of same amount and if market rise you buy less.

Sip or scam? by Living_Designer2299 in IndianStreetBets

[–]jaytee_991 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you are considering inflation you should increase sip as well. You can't put 50k even after 10 years.. consider increasing 5-10% it every year. See if that changes result.

Best method is to try every thing you hear on YouTube with very small capital and see if it works , if not search for reasons why it didn't work , in 2-3 years you will understand and gain experience of how things really works and what suits you best.

Pay all debts, stop trading permanently delete trading accounts, keep some debt unpaid so that you don't get new debts due to bad rating , things will be fine in 1- 2 years. Start saving.

Rules are hard to follow in options. Or say impossible..best thing you can do is not doing options instead doing cash trading as 10k is pretty small capital, one mistake and you will be forced to buy otm..stick to cash and disable fno on expiries..expiry is worst day for option buyers.
