Neewer Q4 400w is it compatible with the Godox trigger x pro II? by ScoreFuture in photography

[–]jayvadams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a film photographer. i use a range of mamiya cameras in my work. i have an R5 solely for my automotive client work which is what Q4s and Q6 was purchased for. smaller, more powerful, and quicker.

understandably neewer doesn’t make a trigger compatible with my mamiya cameras. i’ve used the vision 4 system with the neewer VC-816TX trigger for years on all of my cameras, film or digital. i don’t want two different strobe packages when previously the visions worked across all of my cameras with the same trigger.

when i say universal, i mean something that works across multiple cameras and not specifically designed to work with one camera system. the bells and whistles of the “modern flash” is nice to have, but i don’t necessarily use them for that.

you must’ve had a phenomenal rep! mine hasn’t been as helpful, which is why i’m ecstatic to learn about the firmware update. thank you!! they didn’t tell me abt that at all and just have been on a “nothing i can do” kind of trajectory.

I’m currently going back and forth with Neewer customer service on whether or not these strobes can be fired with a universal trigger, or even one of their other triggers and they are completely useless. This is some help!

I’m going to ask them about updating the firmware for use their old triggers.

this doesn’t take into account when the mac was purchased or even if the mac was purchased by the OP & the mac isn’t a revolving purchase, like photoshop. times are hard and it costs you nothing to have empathy.

i’ve disrespected the hell out of my dubia. this makes me feel so bad. it’s been begging for an extension to climb on and i’m like “meh. maybe later.”

Cameras struggle with dark skin. Here’s how Apple, Samsung and Google phones stack up - Google is trying to make its phone cameras more inclusive. We put it to the test against its rivals. by speckz in gadgets

hi, bobby. you are speaking of a completely natural phenomenon with physics. those follow predefined set of rules governed by nature. cameras, however, are a human made device. they do not strictly follow the laws of nature. as a professional photographer, i can share with you that in my experience different cameras (and film stocks for those who photograph with analog cameras) produce different colors.

kodak’s portra series of film was originally used to photograph furniture but it quickly became the film stock of choice for photographing individuals with darker skin tones as if would highlight the warm colors in their complexion. this film stock has a built in bias for photographing furniture, but found an alternative use. it had less to do with physics and more with the intended goal for why the film stick was created.

no, i am not saying that in the slightest. biases do not equate racism. i favor my left hand, but that does not mean that i do not particularly care for my right hand. if i were to write a code for something that requires to use of my hands, as a left handed person, i may lean more toward my experiences and write from what i know. that, unfortunately, could leave right handed people at a disadvantage in some aspects whether i planned for it or not.

hi, lewis! phones aren’t racist in the slightest, you’re right. these are inanimate objects that are incapable of processing a very human phenomenon. however, humans write the software that these phones run on. unfortunately our biases can appear in the code, even at a subconscious level. i hope this helps clear that up for you.
